SCREAM VI: Check Out A New Still Featuring Ghostface's Invasion Of The Big Apple

Scream VI looks set to move the franchise out of the suburbs and into a deadly new locale in the form of New York City. That's bound to have a significant impact on how Ghostface goes about his business, and a newly released still (via FearHQ.com) puts the spotlight on the sinister serial killer in the Big Apple!

It doesn't show us much beyond that, but we're excited and intrigued to see where the story goes from here. During a recent interview, director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin teased, "This is very much a direct sequel, so it's the characters dealing with what they had to go through in the last movie. That's a big part of this one. It really pushes this story forward."

The previous instalment ended on a somewhat definitive note, so we're definitely intrigued to learn how Ghostface once again rises from the dead to stalk the franchise's leads.

The Scream movies have always found a way to make that work, though, and we're sure this sixth instalment will have plenty of surprises up its sleeve/cloak (even if Neve Campbell, disappointingly, won't be back as Sidney Prescott following a dispute over pay).

Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in Scream VI

Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to direct the action after last year's Scream proved to be a critical and commercial hit, while the screenplay was penned by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

Scream VI is set to be released in theaters on March 10.
