Chris Meloni is best known to the masses for his roles in Law And Order: SVU and OZ but more popular around here for voicing Hal Jordan in the DC animated feature Green Lantern: First Flight and an upcoming role as a General in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel. Now we may see him on our small screens as TV Line report that there is interest in him joining the fifth season of True Blood..
TVLine has learned exclusively that the former Law & Order: SVU front man is circling what my sources are calling a “major role” in the show’s upcoming fifth season.
But what role? An HBO rep declined to comment, but I hear Meloni — who’s currently shooting a top-secret role in The Man of Steel — is in talks to play (duh) an incredibly powerful vampire.
I used to love
True Blood but got a bit fed up with it towards the end of the third season and have actually yet to watch the fourth. But I'm a big fan of Meloni so if he did sign up I would rectify that asap. What do you guys think? Would he make a good addition to the cast?
