Alex Ross made these when he was 11 years old!:

11 f**cking years old! - 11 !

He hates them, he thinks they look goofy and embarrassing.

That's the kind of god-given talent Alex Ross has and the innate love he has for the superhero genre.#

He was BORN for this sh*t !.

That's damn impressive for an 11 year old.

I tried making an Iron Man mini-bust out of empty beer cans once, but I f*cked even that up.

If they haven't got it already I suggest everyone looks at getting hold of a copy of 'Mythology':

I love the Avengers all around the table. Then he adds Tony plugging into an outlet as if they are all watching impatiently for him to hurry up and join the meeting even if that's not what he was going for. I think it's great.

Ross, get your [frick]ing arse back at DC now so they can enslave you and force you to produce tons of quality work like this.

Ross is one of the few artists that can draw the classic looks and make them every bit as good if not better sometimes than the modern, updated costumes.

I always thought Tony Stark was a paraplegic in the comics until the movies. And that's why no one thought he was Iron Man. I'd only read like Iron Man that was a distant memory, so you know.

But did that ever actually happen in the comics or am I making up brain stories..?

So it was a story arc? Did it last long?

@TheRationaNerd

He gets jealousy of Cap so decides to one up him by creating solid gold armor.

The main figure is in a very Gene Colan-esque pose. Wonder if that's intentional.
