I want to start this review by saying that this movie was fun and enjoyable. One of the best comic book movies up to date. Is it better than the first? Well, I think the first one was a little deeper and had more "soul." However, the second film had better action sequences.
One of things I was looking forward about the film was the Black Widow. She is my favorite female superhero. So seeing her on the big screen was cool. Scarlett Johansson did a great job. The Black Widow was serious, tough, and just cool.
Now, I have to say I prefer Don Cheadle over Terrence Howard. Terrence Howard did a good job, but Don Cheadle did a better job as Rhodey.
The main villain, Whiplash, is one of the more interesting villains in the comic book movie world. Cold and calculating, I thought he was a very cool villain. As for Justin Hammer, well, I wasn't too fond of him. I do get the feeling that this is not the end for him.
Now, like every movie, it had some things I didn't really like. Black Widow and Whiplash are never referred by their comic book names. I can't stand when that happens. I mean, when Nick Fury was introducing her, I was expecting "Agent Black Widow" but it didn't happen. Another thing I didn't like was Tony Stark in this film. He acts more immature than in the first film, which I don't like. Also, Pepper becomes more of a yeller.
And for the final bad: The final fight with Whiplash. It was just too short. It should have been much longer. The battle with Iron Monger was longer and maybe even cooler.
The music score, I have to say, was very good. I give this movie a 3.5/5
