Thor to Cameo In Iron Man 2?

Thor to Cameo In Iron Man 2?

Is Thor in Iron Man 2 or just an honorable mention?

I was just reading through an interesting article at Newsarama.com titled Avengers Reassembled-5-The franchise Goes Hollywood.

I found it to be full of really cool tidbits about Marvels direction for its shared Marvel movie universe. This statement in particular caught my eye as I'm sure it will yours.

"There are already indications that there will be some type of Thor-related presence in next year's Iron Man 2."

Will we get to see something like this?

Well, what do you think, will it be an honorable mention or a full blown cameo? Anyone wanting to read the rest of the article can find it here. http://www.newsarama.com/film/091216-avengers-reassembled-5-hollywood.html

God I hope so, even if it is a Nick Fury-style cameo. Maybe when Nick cant convince Tony to join the Avengers, Thor appears at the end to ask him personally

I would prefer to leave Thor as an off-hand reference by Fury, and have a physical cameo by Hawkeye, but that's just me :)

Tyler: I could easily see it being a bit of both. Once Tony agrees to be part of Furys team, Nick plops a picture of Thor down on his desk and tells him "We need to check this dude out, He thinks he's a god or something." I could see it happening something like that.

I seriously think Thor has something to do with Iron Man finding a new energy source.

I'll take a cameo or appearance from any and all Avengers. Man movies are just so kick ass now that there is big budget CBM's

StrangerX - 12/21/2009, 4:06 PM
That would be cool as a cameo. They casted Hemsworth a while a go so it might be possible he might be in it.

Strangeman: I agree, they have had time to shoot him into it.

I thought this was a cool piece of imformation, it's a shame its gettin burried so quick.

YES AND OH FREAKING HELL YES!!!!!

I have been saying this for MONTHS! Thor should have some kind of cameo!

As a matter of fact I am falling in love with that picture you put with it, Hawksblue ! If we are very very lucky that's how it will look!

They may have had time to shoot him into it, but I feel that since the Thor movie is still in pre-production that maybe they don't even have Thor's look locked down yet.

I'm betting he's only mentioned by Fury or something.

@Anil Ricky: Ah! Sweet idea! A lil cheezy but still awesome.

I'm sure whatever cameo they have will have me giggling with glee like a little girl--my reaction to the last two movie ending cameos.

Hawksblueyes- "We need to check this dude out, He thinks he's a god or something."

They might mention him or have like a shadow of his hammer at one point
StrangerX
StrangerX - 12/21/2009, 6:55 PM
@ Hawksblueyes I just read the article it did mention there would be a Thor like presence in Iron Man. This might be when Fury comes up to Tony at the Diner, and mentions his teaming up with Thor

Strange: Yeah, that was a quote. This is big news to me.The whole article was one of the more imformative articles I've read on Marvels plans.

It could show up as anything, but the article seems to imply that it will be more than a casual mention.

This is really common sense, they should mention something of Banner for sure, and maybe mention Pym, and Wakanda as a wink for the second Avengers movie.

Well, hi everybody, greetings from Chile ... i'm new in here ...

Now, i really hope Thor can make an appearance into IM2 movie, but i actually think is more possible to have a Hulk cameo instead. By the way, someone actually knows something about a HULK 2 movie or something?? i think it can be a great idea for avengers upcoming history...

MAKING A REFERENCE TO THOR LIKE THEY DID WITH THE AVENGERS INITITIVE IN IRON MAN 1 WOULD BE COOL BUT A CAMEO IS GIVING TOO MUCH AWAY

IMO, Thor will not be in Ironman2. He might be mentionned but that's it. And Hawkeye will have a small cameo in Thor but it's too late for Ironman2. I'm thinking we might be getting more mention of the first avenger in the second Ironman though. An easter egg or two...
Hawksblueyes
Hawksblueyes - 12/22/2009, 12:50 PM
Shaman: I think if Thor is in IM2, it will be a picture on a dossier or something.
I hope your right about Cap. With SHIELDs and Starks interaction its possible to get any one of, or 2 or 3 Avengers mentioned.
Just to start riegning in the possibility of getting them together.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 12/22/2009, 9:02 PM
thor won't be in IM2...no way. not in my opinion. and i don't think there will be any captain america mentions either. i honestly believe that cap won't be found until the avengers movie, because he's going to be the one to pull the team together. so if they don't find him until avengers, then they would have no reason to mention him, because he's still frozen in ice.

I don't think we will SEE Thor. If they were doing Donald Blake, we might see him. We might see Jane...and yes, Fury might mention him. But I really doubt we'll see Thor...although I can't wait!

We might hear his name or some mention/inclination of him. But I don't think we are going to see an actual person as Thor
