It Sounds Like There Are Indeed Plans For IRON MAN Star Gwyneth Paltrow To Return In Future MCU Project

Iron Man and Avengers: Endgame star Gwyneth Paltrow recently claimed to be in the dark about her MCU future, but a new rumour suggests there are plans in place for her to eventually return as Pepper Potts.

Gwyneth Paltrow first played Pepper Potts in 2008's Iron Man, later appearing in the movie's sequels, The Avengers franchise, and even Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The last time we saw Pepper, she'd suited up as Rescue and was later seen mourning her fallen husband, Tony Stark, after he made the ultimate sacrifice to defeat Thanos and save the universe. That appeared to be where the Stark Industries CEO's story ended, but is the door open to a return down the line?

Paltrow has previously said she would be open to playing Pepper again, adding that she'd only really want to spend a couple of days on set given that acting isn't her main focus these days.

No matter how big or small a role she ultimately has, one reliable scooper seems pretty convinced Paltrow will play the character again, noting: "She will be back. There is a plan."

We're currently in the dark about what that is, but we find it hard to believe Pepper won't have something to say about what the Department of Damage Control has done since using Spider-Man as an excuse to confiscate many of Iron Man's creations.

A cameo in Ironheart is one likely possibility, of course, but Armor Wars would make the most logical sense seeing as it's essentially Iron Man 4

As we reported earlier today, Paltrow recently addressed her possible MCU future on Instagram, suggesting fans pester Marvel Studios for news on that front.

"Oh my God, stop yelling at me!" the actress responded. "We just stopped doing it because Iron Man died and why do you need Pepper Potts without Iron Man? I don't know, call up Marvel and yell at them! Not me! I'm just sitting here!"

Ironheart and Armor Wars don't currently have release dates. Stay tuned for updates on both projects as we have them.

Nobody wants Ironheart.
I hope it gets scrapped.

@MarvelZombie616 - I do. Nobody knows what they want until it's out. Everyone was excited about Batman v Super Man -- including me -- and it sucked. No one was really excited about GotG Vol. 1 but it became a classic and a staple to the MCU.

Point is, prematurely judging something isn't very smart.

@Variant - it depends on the brand. Look at what WB/DC has produced since BvS and how many people were clamoring for their content that wasn’t Batman.

@Arthorious - I'm not sure what your point is. The DCEU has been net negative. Even with popular IPs.

@Variant - just recognizing brand recognition really. Agreeing with your point while being sarcastic with WB/DC; not a lot of people really cared for their content if it wasn’t Batman related.

Her 'Pepper' has always been great...a truly real, emotional facet of this story. I hope she comes back.

Well she does have a daughter we haven’t seen now in a few years. Would be nice to see what they’re up to and seeing Peppwr dealing with a little female version of Tony.

Honestly I expected her character to be a skrull, by the way she reacted to Tony’s death in Endgame.

@DocSpock - Has no one told you how really fvcking stupid that saying is? I mean, you have to be a complete loser to think that saying means something remotely meaningful. When have you used your brain last? Serious question. Because someone using their brain, I don't think, would let something this stupid make it past a fleeting thought.

Let's examine.

M She U....women are involved. Somehow that's derogative? Is this really your stance?

How fvcking insecure someone must be to think this way.

@Variant -

How 12 year old of you to devolve things into personal insults. I'm guessing you get beat up a lot in junior high.
