Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

The first poster is good. Mondo posters are a rip-off though.

Thanks for crediting the artists Josh. Great article!

not my favorite from Mondo or Ansin (love his font and design though), but that PCC (3rd one) is cool! Love that Mondo does this.

I disagree that Mondo is a rip off. In case there's confusion, these aren't just "posters", they're usually always hand done multi colored screen prints. More like a mass produced - but NOT easy to do - pice of actual ART that the artist had a big hand in.

One of my alltime favorite artists sells his work for $50-$125, and once a year I am more than happy to treat myself. For the cost of a few blu-rays or trade paperbacks (plus framing costs maybe) I have a piece of ART I'm stoked about. And these are always, in my opinion, a million times better than the photoshop mashups of everyone's face with blue & orange explosions that the studios think we prefer.

@Norrin,
Do you have any Olly Moss or Kilian Eng?

@dezdigi
Alas, no, not yet, but I'm huge fans of both!

Eng's Duneposter (Jodorowsky) was awesome. I wish someone would give him an unlimited budget to do an animated film, or music video at least.

I love all of Olly's ideas and executions. It kills me whenever posters here dump on him, because I think they're so simple and smart, but to each their own. I love when a minimal concept says more about the story than a loaded detailed image.

on the other side of the spectrum though, I'm a pretty big Aaron Horkey fan, and Daniel Danger, both insane with detail.

I liked Moss's Lord Of The Rings posters and Eng's Game of Thrones, not to mention the Argo Oscar poster.

Y'know, I'm kinda getting tired of Mondo posters. The novelty's worn off.
