Hype Hype Hype! It seems these days (If your like me) a replay of the clip featured in the first Iron Man 2 trailer, with Rhodes and Stark (As War Machine & Iron Man) side by side in their gear, fighting their robot chums, plays over, and over and over in my head.

Still on the lines of Iron Man, it occurred to me today that we are expected to a see a surprise arrival from someone...or something. So I figured we should have ourselves a little discussion, on who or what would fit into place correctly, in order to pave the way for our Earths Mightiest Heroes! We may of had rumors fly back here and there as to what to expect, but theres no harm in some more speculating and working out. Here a pretty clear and decent list of the possible outcomes. I have a vision of Fury almost introducing Stark to just some of the people who have signed on to The Avengers initiative:

Nick Fury With...

1. Hawkeye

We've of course, speculated for months now, after Jeremy Renner gave us quite obviously false information. But thinking of it, Marvel has been keeping a very tight grasp on all projects under wing. Maybe even something as simple as Hawkeye has been kept under wraps. Not only that, but an appearance from Hawkeye wouldn't be so far fetched as something like Thor (Throwing Thor in randomly at the end without an explanation)

2. Thor

This is probably what has been speculated most about besides Hawkeye. First it started with snapshots and images screen printed from Trailers and all sorts. Could Jon really be including the God himself in the IM2 limelight? This could finally break the barrier between Mythology and Hi-tech gizmo's.

3. Captain America

I know! This guy has not been cast yet. But think about it. Johnston promised a final choice to be made on March 1st. But what if he'd done this, to cover up for his already chosen, shield wielding patriot? This would also have us basically in nerdgasms for about a straight year.

4. Giant Man w/ Wasp

Pym could again, be someone cast months ago, only to be hidden from any media coverage or ourselves. But if not, then this would make a great end to the chapter none the less, and like all the other possibilities, it will inevitably open the doors for The Avengers.

All in all, I'd envision an ending with Fury, giving Stark some final words of persuasion, encouraging him to join, and telling him the worlds in danger. Only seconds later, our surprise guy/ girl will appear, perhaps placing their hand on his shoulder. Hell, maybe they'll all show up in the end. But no matter what happens, I don't think Favreau will let us down.

Now discuss Minions!
