JUSTICE LEAGUE Concept Artist Claims Zack Snyder Finished His Cut Of The Movie Before Leaving
One of Justice League's concept artists has shed some light on just how complete that long rumoured Snyder Cut of the movie may be, and it definitely sounds like there's at least a rough version out there.
There's been a lot of speculation about the possibility of Warner Bros. confirming the release of the Justice League "Snyder Cut" at Comic-Con and while that actually seems highly unlikely, fans still want to see what the filmmaker's vision for the project was before seemingly being fired by the studio. That remains something of a mystery but according to one fairly reliable source, it does, in fact, exist.
Taking to Twitter over the weekend, Justice League concept artist Jay Oliva shared some insights into the Snyder Cut, confirming that, "Zack isn’t the kind of director who creates the film in the edit bay. It’s all planned out meticulously from beginning to end. That’s how MoS and BvS was done." He then continued, saying: "what I meant with 99% is that all of the scenes Zack envisioned was shot and exists in one form or another. Of course there are still vfx that is unfinished but I never inferred that the film was 99% done. Rather that Zack’s vision was all shot except for a few reshoots planned."
If what Oliva is claiming here is accurate, that means a rough assembly cut of Zack Snyder's Justice League does indeed exist and that it could be completed and release somewhere down the line. He even went on to say that, "It may not be 100% polished but all of the planned scenes were shot and edited into a full timeline." The question is, is there actually a demand for this to be released?
Yes but probably not enough to justify a physical release. However, making this available digitally or putting it on the new DC Universe streaming service would be a very smart business decision!
