Will The DAUGHTERS OF LIBERTY Assemble As The MCU's First All-Female Team?

Following on from a previous rumor, we're hearing that a Daughters of Liberty project is on the way from Marvel Studios, and we may have some idea of which heroes the team will consist of...

Although Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau will technically form a team (really more of a temporary alliance?) in next month's The Marvels, we still haven't seen a full roster of female heroes join forces in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Some fans believed Avengers: Endgame's much-discussed "A-Force" moment may have been some kind of tease for a future project, but despite several MCU actors such as Elizabeth Olsen and Brie Larson expressing their excitement at the prospect and reportedly bringing the idea to Kevin Feige, nothing official has been announced.

A recent rumor claimed that Marvel Studios was working on a Daughters of Liberty project (whether it was for the big or small screen is not clear) prior to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and we may now have a little more to go on.

According to CWGST/MTTSH, the Daughters of Liberty will assemble down the road.

Apparently, every character in the image below (aside from Alexa Volkoff, who they mistook for Sharon Carter) will have made their debut either in the MCU or SSU (Sony's Spider-Man Universe) by 2025. Echo, Peggy and Agent 13Sharon Carter already have, and Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman will most likely emerge from the upcoming Madame Web movie. That leaves Iron Patriot/Toni Ho, Mockingbird, and White Tiger.

In the comics, the Daughters were formed as a sisterhood of guardians protecting knowledge of the new era. They were trained in the ways of magic by Agatha Harkness (who may also join their ranks if this project does see the light of day), and also counted Misty Knight, Shuri/Aja-Adanna and Sue Storm among their members.

If Marvel Studios is looking at the Daughters of Liberty for the first all-female MCU team, it's most likely an idea that's being considered rather than something that's actually in active development. But if the DOL really are on the way, which characters would you most like to see make up the ranks?

Be sure to drop us a comment down below.

"The Daughters is an all-female hero group originally created by Harriet Tubman in the 18th century to protect America from threats. As we learn later in the series, they were responsible for guarding the super-serum that gave Steve Rogers the powers of Captain America."

Does it end with the all male team coming in to rescue them?

@IronSpider101 - While I have no problem with female heroic types as a rule this is way over the line.

@IronSpider101 -

Seriously though, I see two great villain teams that could make an epic battle against this team:

1.

2.

Throw up.

Having more female characters is great. But dredging up a bunch of D-listers just to force feed us an all female empowerment punch in the face message is just ridiculous.

@DocSpock - don't worry, it's not actually happening

@DocSpock - We do, this is garbage but its so bad that I want them to release it so it can explode in their face. Thats where I'm at. Thats the only way they learn.

@AvalonX - I doubt this junk will do half the box office the first one did.

It's just a Hollyweird box checking fiesta.

@DocSpock - The odds of this hitting the MCU is slim to none anyway. The Marvels will bomb at they will at least pause on the girl boss stuff aside from whats already in production.

First time I ever hear about this team. But if they're gonna keep the aspect of them protecting knowledge of a new era, making their debut in the post-rebooted MCU after Secret Wars sounds accurate.

Disney always being political. If marvel studios never sold themselves out we’d be having the avengers + FF fighting Dr Doom by now. Disney trying so hard to send a message especially now right after the creator died.

@marvel72 - that would imply that it's even happening in the first place. It's not, it's some random Twitterbot making stuff up

@KaptainKhaos - Half of the random things they've said has actually happened though. People on Twitter would've noticed already if half of them turned out to be false at this point.

The Marvels will flop and so will this because women don't need panderingto, they just need good stories with good female characters and Henry Cavill.

Anyone hear about that all female firefighter conference that ended up starting a huge fire and couldn’t put it out. Yay diversity… 🤷‍♂️
