Former Doctor Who Colin Baker Displeased Over No Cameo In 50th Anniversary Special

Former Doctor Who Colin Baker doesn't seem to like the fact that Tom Baker made a surprise cameo in The Day Of Doctor while he wasn't asked to return. "By asking him and not us, it makes you feel like a second class citizen," he said.

“All or none, that’s what I would have

thought,” sixth Doctor Who Colin Baker said about discovering the fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, was given a cameo role and not him. He expressed his disappointment that he or any of the other Doctors was never asked to make a cameo appearance (aside from his face CGIed on a stand-in's body) except for one. “I know Tom did it longer than anybody else and he’s the oldest Doctor but by asking him and not us, it makes you feel like a second class citizen.” Tom Baker made a cameo in the special as a gallery curator, so while it wasn't too much, it was enough to make the other Baker upset. “Peter Davison, the fifth Doctor, said way back that they were not going to have us in the special. At the time, we didn’t know that Tom was in it which was slightly irritating.” Colin Baker believes the biggest fans of the popular British show would have wanted to see all of the Doctors together as part of the 50th anniversary special. “Even though I don’t look the same, none of us look exactly the same, it would have been nice to get a small part in it – to give back to the fans.”

Tom Baker was the BEST Doctor and most popular ever which is why he made an appearance...

And how perfect was the appearance as well...

JUST BRILLIANT...

@DelTorite: you didn't watch the special, didn't you? lol

Anyways i think he's right, a small cameo of all the surviving Doctors would have been nice.

Though they kinda were in the special, if you didn't see the BBC One "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot", when i came across this i thought it was a fan film, but it's actually Baker, Davison and McCoy sneaking in the set.

It sucks that they didn't cameo all the survivors but what's done is done. I really wish Paul McGann's doctor could have had an entire prequel episode!

Guess he didn't watch it at the theaters, because he narrated the post-credit behind-the-scenes featurette and got a shout out - by himself! Moron! lol!

He's right on both counts; They should have put all the surviving Doctors in there and next to Tom Baker he is a second class citizen.
I mean, I fell in love with Doctor Who during Colin Baker's run, as he was more interesting to me than Peter Davison, but once I discovered Tom Baker and bought as many Tom Baker videos as I could, it was only then that I saw the true Doctor. Tom Baker is definitive. Fact.
DudeGuyMan@ I'm actually really glad that Mendes changed his mind about that. Sean Connery is Bond, not Bond's groundkeeper. I think it would have diminished the role he has already had in the franchise. It is the same franchise after all.
