I like the cover, but i dont like the idea of our heros ever passing the torch to new ones. I would hate to see our heros disappear forever, not that it would happen. Thats not to say I wont pick this up :P

Never thought I'd see the day when a comic book- not a graphic novel or trade paperback, but a comic book- cost $7.99. That's too ph ucking high!

So uh... for me and the rest of the ignorants, who's in this bitch aside from Spider-girl? Who are the students and who are the "young allies"???

Shadow: it may not be a bad buy for the number of pages involved. That's not the point I was trying to make. My observation is just more along the lines of I never thought I'd see a regular comic book that cost eight bucks. Outrageous. Thank our buddies at the Federal Reserve for devaluing the dollar for this.

Also, what's with all these characters having kids, most with similar powers or gimmicks, all of a sudden? I'm looking at a Batman comic last night, which has the son of Batman, the Riddler's daughter, Catwoman's daughter, and one more. Now we have kids for Spidey, Iron Man, and Cap?

@Comicb00k,
$7.95 is a hell of a lot to pay for a comic book but thats what it costs here in Australia. If its anything bigger then a standard comic it jumps up to atleast $9.95. Its all getting a little ridiculous.

Doc: That's one reason I'm getting away from the new books, and spending my comic money finding older books from titles I didn't read as much when I was younger. The older books (usually silver and bronze age- a few later than that) have better stories and often better art, and I can pick up a big stack of them for a buck each! I don't care too much about the book's condition, as long as it's intact and readable. Just finished Avengers Annual #1 with two teams of Avengers fighting the Mandarin and a group of villains he assembled. Great stuff!
