EXCLUSIVE: Behind The Scenes Of STREET FIGHTER: ASSASSIN'S FIST - SFX

Street Fighter: Assassin's Face has been hailed as one of the best live-action video game adaptations of all-time, and in this new featurette from the DVD, Blu-ray and Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbook (all of which are available now), we learn more about the movie's SFX.

Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist tells the origin story of Street Fighter's most famous duo, Ryu and Ken. Learning the way of the warrior at the secluded dojo of martial arts master Gouken, the pair are the last practitioners of an ancient fighting style known as Ansatsuken - ‘The Assassin’s Fist'. But the Ansatsuken style hides a dark and tragic secret; a legacy that is about to catch up with Ryu and Ken. Fists fly and kicks rain down in this thrilling and faithful evocation of the Street Fighter universe, created by true devotees of Capcom's classic fighting game series. Action movie fans will love the scintillating fight scenes, jaw-dropping martial arts and compelling storyline; lifelong Street Fighter players will also adore how true Assassin's Fist stays to the videogame's lore.

Pretty cool, eh? As director, writer and star Joey Ansah told us when we spoke to him recently the DVD and Blu-ray version of Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist also includes, "A director's commentary by myself which is very insightful as I've tried to pack in as many interesting stories, trivia and anecdotes as possible around the production and representation of what went into it, so I think fans will enjoy that. We have four deleted or extended scenes, some double the length. There are nine behind the scenes featurettes with everyone from the cast to producers to costume designers and special effects artists. The very cool thing are the Ken video diaries which are a highlight I think fans will get a real kick out of. We've really tried to go the extra mile to pack it with as much extra content as possible...there's an outtake reel as well with lots of funny stuff."

Amazingly well done, and well written. Great fight scenes, tells a good story and is just about a perfect adaptation of the world and characters.

As a huge street fighter fan, I absolutely loved this but at the same time I was a bit disappointed with it (too much to type and I don't want to get into it at the moment). But the good thing is that I think this is just the start of more to come so I'm definitely looking forward to that!
