Judging on Zack Snyder`s Box office average will MOS give JL the green light

Past movies by Zack Snyder include Suckerpunch, Watchmen and 300 but are they strong enough to help Man of Steel get Warner bros. a JL movie

This is my first article so critisism is greatly appreciated

As we all know Man of Steel is coming and how well it does may depend on a greatly anticipated Justice League film. But it`s Zack Snyder who makes it possible and as a director he has directed some great films so how did they do at the box office......

Sucker punch (2011) - $36,381,716
Legends of the Guardians (2010) - $55,673,333
Watchmen (2009) - $107,503,316
300 (2006) - $210,592,590
Dawn of the Dead (2004) - $58,885,635

Thats a total of $469,036,590 (I know right)

now for the average of.......

$93,807,318

Is this average suitably big enough for Man of Steel or will it surprise us and do way better than this.

Let's not forget that this has Nolan's name on it too.

i hope it does well, its my second most anticipated comic book movie this year & we do need more dc characters on the big screen & not crap tv shows like smallville & arrow.

its hard to say but if its anything like what superman returns did,i wouldn't expect to see a justice league movie.

superman returns budget $209,000,000

superman returns gross $391,081,192

just think superman returns took $182,081,192 more than its budget & look how long its taken to see superman again on the big screen.

If I were a studio executive I wouldn't mind a buttload of cash from feoreign territories. Hence the calculation would rather be:

Sucker Punch (2011): - $89,792,502
Legends of the Guardians (2010) - $140,073,390
Watchmen (2009) - $185,258,983
300 (2006) - $456,068,181
Dawn of the Dead (2004) - $102,356,381

Thats a total of $973,549,437

now for the average of.......

$194,709,887

which is more than twice what you calculated. 300 alone nearly grossed what you calculated as total sum.

@VIRILEMAN That's a bold statement. Either Batman & Robin or the Super Mario Bros. movie was the biggest disappointment ever in film. The Dark Knight Rises was still a good movie. I honestly don't understand all the hate for it. I liked it just as much as the other Nolan films.

@ superherofan21

i also find the dark knight rises a major disappointment when you compare them two the previous two,its nowhere near as good.

hence why i think its disappointing.

@superherofan21 Come on dude, Super Mario Bros. wasn't all that bad ! It was just as goofy and stupid as one could expect a Super Mario Bros movie to be. Plus, it had the twin towers all blown up EIGHT YEARS before it actually happened ! Talk about visionaries !

Since Snyder isn't famous for making an amazing movie by all audiences(James Cameron) or famous for ruing movies (M. Night Shamalanymanan whatever the [frick] his name is) the mainstream audience won't care who the director is, they'll go see it because they have a new Superman movie. Superman was probably everyone's favorite superhero for some point in their life whether you read comics or not. Before the Avengers he was one of the top 3 most famous Superheroes. And Chris Nolan is attached also.
