It's HILARIOUS how militant atheists will in public or private bash Christianity, a religion that has cultivated societies with levels of prosperity and tolerance and progression unrivaled in non-Christian societies. But leave alone regressive, hyper-intolerant (But for Western technology), impoverished societies hell bent on destroying the very hard won freedoms by Christian peoples and nations.

If you exclude Judeo-Christian contribution, effort and sacrifice from reality, you have an unrecognizable, far more deficient existence.

But I'm sure all those that isolate their particularly contrived left leaning brand of ridicule to Western foundations have a suitcase ready to fly standby to it's antitheses, protest placards packed and Carlin confidence ready to defy and smirk.

Hopefully you didn't forget to pack an extra head as well.

@Zounds....the picture wasn't posted to mock Christianity but those who teach that Noah had dinosaurs on the Ark....which I'm certain the film won't depict. :)

Why the [frick] was this even posted on this website. It's not relevant to comic book movies. Unless the Bible was somehow originally a comicbook I can't imagine why this was posted other than the user known as Anthony Stark is an asshole who thinks that assumes that the users of this site or comic book fans in general are christians who want scripture shoved down their throat by hollywood.

You're all proving the point.

@Bravado - Weak. Posting after one reply undermines the send, sport.

@CharEl - Westboro Baptist pics aplenty online. I've seen similar pictures used in other militant atheistic polemics...It's a reasonable inference. Maybe Dr. Francis Collins posing next to a holograph of a DNA strand frowning at the Noah/dinosaur "lesson" would prove a less comedic, more accurate apprehension?

@jimdotbeep - 1) The comment is defensive. If inappropriate and selective mockery is acceptable, so is defence and comments begging the question. 2)The comment has nothing to do with forced indoctrination (Oh the irony re: selective religious ridicule)of any religion. 3) Not a single Biblical reference was used in the reply. 4)You obviously didn't understand that my comment was seeking to expose the hypocrisy of the common practice of ridiculing every other religion except those one that actually merit ridicule if freedom is actually valued. 5)I comment and have commented only under the moniker, Zounds.

jimdotbeep, With all due respect, you're an idiot. Aronofsky's movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name. You know, graphic novels, they're kinda like comic book movies. I'm pretty sure that's well within the parameters for an esteemed site like CBM to promote and report about.

And even if it had nothing to do with comic book movies, I'm pretty sure there's been TONS of movies that's been covered on this site and it had NOTHING to do with comic books. So get the anti-anything religious stick out of your butt and relax.

Because this has NOTHING to do with users thinking that everyone here "are christians who want scripture shoved down their throat by hollywood." That's so ridiculous on so many levels. It's hilarious, because most non-Christians are looking forward to this movie more than Christians are. Know why? Because this movie has little to do with the actual Bible! You're part of the ill-informed, ignorant, immature minority who automatically assumes this movie is pro-Christianity propoganda, which is idiotic behavior.

@Bravado - And as if to further prove my point, you confirm that your participation a) has an agenda b) exclusively targets Christianity because of your BELIEF that it is the greatest threat (Haha, to the society it's PRIMARILY responsible for building) to the first world and that c) you have no problem hijacking threads about comic book movies to "shove down the throats" of it's participants your particularly uninformed, skewed perception.

And to repeat, the HILARIOUS thing about your voice-changing, pimple-popping "logic", is that the conditions cultivated and maintained and DEFENDED that have been NECESSARY over at least the last hundred yeats, in which art could flourish and evolve with technology into the art of comics and the film industry - you know...to go along with yet another western invention: The Internet - is that you think it and not the world of Islam and it's (HAH!) "freedom" laden, intellectually free creative bastions is the greater threat.

Go on a little fact finding hunt and compare western publishing house output to the middle east. Tally the different art forms it's influence currently holds in the modern world - and minus the internet, film and comic books, rock, jazz and classical music to start. Then count how many new publications it's world has published in the last 1400 years with ONE major publishing house in the west over one year...The find will be interesting.

This to say, you are welcome to believe anything you like, but the evidence disproves your contention.

@savageguitarist - You wouldn't be able to express your opinion in opposition to your society's foundational elements and remain unharmed without the Judeo-Christian western democratic protection not enjoyed elsewhere. As for your "points"...The Crusades entailed a 400 year period of endured Islamic atrocity of invaded lands before the Christian response finally arrived...but feel free to forget that. Genocide? Let's introduce Slavery - Three guesses which society still permits, encourages and defends slavery? Islam. Islam doesn't have a Christian Wilberforce to deliver it because Islam is intellectually and ethically regressive. But by all means, you believe what's "bullcrap" in spite of evidence and clear thinking.

As to the rest...lol.
