Real Life Superhero Phoenix Jones Won't Be Charged; City Attorney Calls Him "No Hero"

After being accused of assaulting a group of law abiding citizens while actually attempting to stop a fight, the Seattle based "superhero" will not face charges from police but both he and a City Attorney have more to say on the matter.

After allegedly pepper spraying a group of men and women while attempting to stop an assault taking place, it has now been confirmed that Seattle based "superhero" Phoenix Jones will not be charged by police. He was arrested after the incident and was later forced to reveal his secret identity as Ben Foder, an act which resulted in him losing his job working with autistic children.

Jones now plans to "explore legal action" against the police department but is pleased with the decision reached by City Attorney Pete Holmes. "I’m going to have to seek some way to make myself whole again. The judicial system did it’s job. I’m ecstatic I’m not being charged. I lost my job, people call me by my real name on the street, criminals say they know where I live. it’s affected my life, and for something I didn’t do."

As for why the charges were dropped, Homles cited "proof problems" adding that Jones' claim he was coming to the aid of people at the scene complicates the case. "It is unlikely a jury would find beyond a reasonable doubt that Fodor intentionally sprayed all of the people at the scene." He added: "Mr. Fodor is no hero, just a deeply misguided individual. He has been warned that his actions put himself in danger, and this latest episode demonstrates that innocent bystanders can also be harmed."

See, this is a prime example of why a man can't run around in his underwear, fighting crime and making a spectacle of himself, without looking like some guy running around in his underwear making a spectacle of himself.

ACira- The keyword you're missing here is "yet". "Let's just be glad he wasn't shot or stabbed by the criminals he was apprehending YET."

And personally, he made his choice so i'm a lot more "glad" for the people that haven't YET been harmed who HE actually put in danger himself, just by doing his shenanigans.

If this idealistic fame seaker thinks for one second that his ass was safe behind a mask from anyone knowing where he lives, well he's just straight up mentally challenged. And he's even more retarded for thinking he couldn't be followed to his workplace where every single autistic child he worked with could've been harmed, just because he might have [frick]ed with the wrong criminal the next time he's "out for justice".

I mean let's face it. He wasn't exactly Frank [frick]ing Castle here. He wasn't living in a sewer with no ties to anyone and armed to the teeth with deadly force that would make the criminals he stopped STAY stopped. He just made a target out of himself and the people he surounded himself with every day. This guy sure as hell ain't a hero.

IF YOUR GOING TO REALLY DO IT:
1.HAVE A REAL SUPERPOWER, BECAUSE U CAN SERIOUSLY DIE.
2. BE MORE DISCREET, BE A MYTH OR URBAN LEGEND..MAKE PEOPLE WONDER IF YOUR REALLY THERE .
3.DON'T GET CAUGHT, BY POLICE OR BY ACTUALLY DANGEROUS CRIMINALS/ THEY WILL OUT YOU OR THEY WILL KILL YOU.

That was so well said i felt it needed be said again!

This guy obviously was just living out a fantasy and just wanted media attention. For Christ sakes he was filmed in day light and showed his layer was in a Comic shop, right? Operate at night Dummy. Want attention? Get a signal in the sky. This guy asked for it. Getting a beat down was inevitable and coming. Let's just hope he doesn't become a super villain!!

These guys are not needed when police are around. Another tip: fight in the shadows. They are better off being bounty hunters. At least they would get paid for that.

teabag- You're a better hero than he'll ever get to be, even by mistake. And that's without counting all the boobs and butts you've plastered all over the site for our needs. Thank you :)

Nephillim- Can you actually grasp how a TRUE criminal thinks? Put the comics down and turn the cartoons off for a second here and lets talk. When you have a person that commits crimes regularly, they have no problem applying "pressure" to any interloper's sensitive spots. And when a true criminal that very much enjoys his lifestyle, and wishes for it to never end, becomes aware of someone that PURPOSELY strives at ending his lifestyle, they kind of get into a conflict of interest. It's only natural to think that they'll surely feel some type of imediate motivation to squash that irritating insect and burn pretty much anything related to it in any way possible so as to not be bothered by any other irritating insects, in any way, shape or form.

Now... as noble as this man's intentions might appear, all he's doing is thinking of himself and his limelight, not giving two shits about the people he practically threw straight into the line of fire. THAT's why he is and forever will be hated, for being a danger to all the innocents around him. And by doing that, i'm sorry to say that no matter of fights he stopped will ever make me think this guy has a heart. All he had was slightly chivalrous yet extremely misguided intentions. There's a brilliant saying that goes: "There's a fine line between courage and stupidity." And this man, was stupid.

If this guy really wanted media attention, he wouldn't have even gone through so much trouble to do what he does. This guy probably does want to protect people since the police aren't doing shit. I mean, it's like all of you out there expect him to be from another planet, or a billionaire with enough money to get anything he wants, but in truth, he's just a guy.

He deliberately put those kids in danger. That's why he's being "downed". Seriously, i have to explain this more than once? I guess that explains why certain people actually support him. I'm talking to vegetables.

Shaman - 11/24/2011, 6:38 AM
AutobotCommander84- He made himself a flashy superhero costume, he has a "lair" in a PUBLIC place and he was in a [frick]ing HBO documentary. And you think he doesn't "really" want media attention? You honestly think his intentions were so good that he was mentally incapable of saying "no comment" and walk away? If that's not seaking media attention, i don't know what is.

Teabag- Don't feel bad bud, i still have pornhub LOL And i entirely agree with everything you've said.

Prot3ctor- You are goddamn right that i don't have the balls to do what he does. I don't have the balls to have my children and girlfriend murdered just so i can break up some bar brawls and street corner gang wars. Touché.

I've seen first hand how some do gooder can do more harm than good...

Was just walking home with some mates from a night out when some drunk imbecile just started attacking us, swinging wildly.
We found it ammusing at first until he smacked one of my mates in the face. His brother then jumped in and the two of them started beating this guy.

then the police rocked up and some idiot Cabbie (Taxi driver) said "I saw it all, and they started it" totally going against the facts, luckily it was on CCTV, and that Cabbie felt like a right dick in court.

Who knows what this "Phoenix Jones" (with a Real name Ben Foder shouldn't his name have been the Cannon or something?) saw when he started randomly pepper spraying (A real Heroes weapon...) people

Illcommunicatione- EXACTLY!!! THANK YOU!!! You know, that also means that the people that went on record saying this guy truly helped them might not have been telling the absolute truth either. There's no way to know for certain. I heard some time ago that a girl went on record saying he helped her not get raped. For one, she didn't get raped so we'll never know if that was exactly what would have went down. And two, i've known more than one woman that has faked a situation or lied to get what they wanted. My ex has done it more than once and i'm happy to say today that karma's a bitch. But i digress. The point is that the only way he would have ever intervened was if something was already taking place, which means he never knew what started the event in question. I just hope to god the people he saved were honest and in real danger. He sure as hell didn't stop to ask why all of it was happening in the first place.

Teabag- Too true, bud! Especially when the people you have waiting for you at home are dependant of you, there's no two ways about this. Call the fire department and do as much as you can without putting yourself i harm's way. But i would have reacted the same way you did had i not known my girl was pregnant. So don't feel bad for what you did ;)

@Shaman This guy is doing something that the dumb-ass cops aren't! And also, in Ultimate Spider-Man, don't you remember when the news was asking Spider-Man questions right after he beat the shit out of Kraven in Vol. 3? Did he say, "no comment"? No, he said why he does what he does and why he wears a mask. I don't hear anyone complaining on why Spider-Man didn't just walk away because he "risked" the life of his family and friends by gaining publicity. How much [frick]ing sense does that make what you're saying? Really?
