Well, I have to say I wasn't particularly excited for this one..until now! Dourif has to be one of the finest actors working today and instantly lends credibility to any movie IMO. From Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest to Grima Wormtoungue in LOTR, he even made his scenes in Halloween 2 watchable.
Christopher Plummer is no slouch either of course. Both actors are to star in as yet unspecified roles. But actress Madchen Amick will play Shannon, the mother of the kidnapped niece and wife of Stephen Moyer's still unnamed character. Director Scott Stewart announced their casting by way of Twitter.
Paul Bettany will star as the titular Priest, determined to track down the band of vicious vamps that kidnapped his niece, lead by Karl Urban as the villain, Black Hat. And Twishite's Cam Gigandet will play some type of sheriff. His is the only casting that bothers me. And I'm not just basing that on my hatred for Twlight, i also saw him in The Unborn, in which he was just as awful.
Anyway, we will see what the movie turns out like when its released almost a year from now in August 2010!
