Before Disney decided to release Avengers: Infinity War in April, May was shaping up to be a stacked month featuring not only the Marvel Studios movie but Solo: A Star Wars Story and Deadpool 2 as well. We're still getting the latter two releases next month, of course, and Lucasfilm has now debuted a series of new character posters featuring a fresh look at the movie's leads and the Millennium Falcon.

It's also worth noting that Solo is being released a day earlier in the UK, something these posters proudly displays for fans on that side of the pond. Regardless, these are all very cool and feature Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson), and Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke) striking a variety of poses and different costumes.

So, to check out this full list of new posters for Solo: A Star Wars Story, click on the buttons below.

Played by Alden Ehrenreich, Han Solo's return to the big screen should be a lot of fun to see play out. We've seen the end of the character's story in The Force Awakens and now it's time for the beginning as the spinoff delves into his origin and reveals what turned Han into the smuggler we know and love.

We may have seen Chewbacca in Revenge of the Sith but it's Solo which looks set to serve as his true origin story because we'll learn what led to the Wookie leaving Kashyyyk and deciding to pair up with Han Solo. It's even been said that this movie belongs just as much to Chewie as it does Han.

If anyone is going to steal the show in this movie, it's Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian. Not only does he look the part but the actor also sounds very much like Billy Dee Williams and it wouldn't be remotely surprising if fans are demanding a spinoff for him by the time all is said and done here.

We've seen Emilia Clarke's Qi'Ra in a variety of outfits in recent months but this one is definitely new and it's fair to say she looks awesome here. The blaster she's wielding points to Han's childhood friend being unafraid to get her hands dirty but where was she when the original trilogy was taking place?

Tobias Beckett is Han Solo's mentor and the one who inducts him into the life of a criminal. Many fans believe he'll end up betraying Han or dying in a moment which sets the youngster on the path to becoming the rebellious anti-hero we were first introduced to on Tatooine way back in A New Hope

I was just thinking, there should be tons more SOLO articles now that IW seems to be in a “calm before the storm” phase.

Absolutely looking forward to SOLO. I really don’t mind these Star Wars Saga movies being made, especially if they’re one-offs and they delve in to the dark side. Don’t think there’s a need for sequels.

Anyway, IW tomorrow 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼🧡

Chewie takes aim?

Not so much as the aim at Lucas film to destroy this characters. After all is said and done, the outcome is still the same, Han solo ended up being a broken man who could not keep his family together and our dear Chewie, just a space taxi driver who is so hated by the suits at Lucas film that now is only used for gags and slapstick!

That is the legacy of this failed products from Mrs. Kennedy et at.

Now that Yoda will be used as a Joke for Mega Neo Super Rey's entertainment, we might as well have an scene such as this in episode 9. Hilarious, hilarious you say?

Mrs. Kennedy, the Hack Johnson et al at Lucas, will make sure people forget how awesome SWars really was!

Quietly excited for this movie, especially to see what Ron Howard did with it.

This is how I picture Mrs. Kennedy and the suits at Lucas film. They get up in the morning looking for new ways to give us failed products. Visuals, visuals you say?
