Today, we've been treated to a lot of awesome new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker content courtesy of Vanity Fair and we're now topping that off with a fun behind the scenes video.

Taking us to the movie's set in Jordan, we get to hear from the movie's cast and also get a closer look at the aliens who inhabit this mysterious new desert planet. Based on how previous instalments of this trilogy have been marketed, we can look forward to an emotional featurette debuting during the San Diego Comic-Con (possibly alongside a new trailer).

For now, though, this is a great new look at J.J. Abrams' final chapter in the Skywalker Saga.

In other news, the magazine has also confirmed that the shot of Kylo Ren in the teaser trailer does indeed depict him taking on the Knights of Ren. Does that mean they turn on their leader or are those theories about him returning to the Light accurate? For now, we'll have to wait and see.

What's everyone's Over/Under on number of lines Keri Russell's character has in the movie?

I'm going with 4 (I hope I'm wrong though!)

@L0RDbuckethead Do stare poses that "say" to the other characters and the audience that she is a badass count as lines? If not, only one line.

At least with JJ it'll be entertaining. He knows how to make a popcorn movie

Interesting. Yet more relatively early and revealing promos/marketing for Ep 9. There is no doubt that Disney acknowledges TLJ was a blunder and did massive damage to the franchise, and is doing everything it can to win back audiences that threw in the towel after TLJ.

@GeneralZod - I don't think it's early, the other movies did as much at this point in the year. The brand is definitely tarnished though, SW used to have so much cred.

"She looks awesome, and could be a breakout character along the lines of Boba Fett." I've heard this before, with Captain Phasma.

JJ Abrams, say what you want about him. He usually makes entertaining movies (while you're watching them anyways). Even ST: Into Darkness was fun while I was watching it, just sucked ass as I reflected on it later and repeat viewings didn't hold up. That's a lot more than I can say for anything Rian Johnson has ever made (not that he's made a lot). So there's that.

Generally pretty cool, but what's with the hairy horses? Is this Avatar? I always thought that's what makes Star Wars better is that they think outside of the box (well, usually) - Not "hey, we need a transport of some kind - let's just use regular old horses, but make em hairy and give em weird faces." ...How about something different and unique?

As much as love Star Wars, this all looks pretty, and I hate to say it... mundane/dead.

OT: I had a dream about Cap and Peggy last night post-Endgame. Long story short, my heart/soul/the rest wasn’t ready.
