Paramount Pictures is expected to debut the first footage from Terminator: Dark Fate later on tonight at CinemaCon, but in the meantime we have a batch of official stills which spotlight the six main characters.

We know Tim Miller's film will pick up after the events of James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgement Day and that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton will reprise their iconic roles, but aside from that the plot remains shrouded in mystery. In fact, a few rumors aside, we still know next to nothing about the new supporting characters. It has been confirmed that former Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Gabriel Luna is playing a Terminator, but that's about it.

Check out the images below, and be sure to drop back later for a footage description, or maybe even the trailer itself if we're lucky.

"Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta."

Diego Boneta As Dani's Brother

I liked Deadpool 1 maybe it will be good because they had the same directors?

@Nerdman3000 - Linda Hamilton is the #1 reason for seeing this on opening weekend...even if it sux. Regardless of gender, Sarah Connor was an awesome action hero in the 90s.

@mastakilla39 - "regardless of gender"

Alright, you've forced me to ask you what you meant by this phrase right here. I'd like to see if my suspicions are correct.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Not being sexist at all, not trying to come off that way either. It's just lots of feminists have said that are no female action icons until Wonder Woman and I always thought they were wrong because Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley are 1 of the best and most recognizable action hero icons. I always thought Michelle Yeoh was amazing in Supercop and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon too.

@mastakilla39 - well then those feminists are freaking morons. As you mention, Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley are two of the most badass and important female action icons, hell action icons in general to ever grace the screen. WW has nothing on those two.

Thanks for clarifying what you meant.

@mastakilla39 - Dude, I absolutely agree with you. Why is it a push now? They've been around since forever. And all those females are just as strong, if not stronger. They were great heroes then and are still now. I'd even add the Bride (Kill Bill) to your list.

Arnold looks better than he has in a while. There’s never any need for another swing at the Terminator franchise, but who knows... maybe this one will hit.

It will be almost impossible for this franchise to succeed

It's been over for years and for some reason they still try

Arnold looks really old in that photo

and somehow they still want to capture the magic of 1991 Terminator

It's over

@WakandaTech - Don’t underestimate Tim Miller. He found a way to unlock Deadpool and make him mainstream.

I really hope Arnie isn’t playing the T800 again, but instead the human they were designed to look like.
