It seems fans either love or hate the first trailer for Alien: Covenant, but we now have three new stills which point to the movie's characters being in full on panic mode after the Xenomorphs are unleashed on them. That sneak peek offered up some spoilers, but very few story details, and there aren't too many reveals here either. They do however provide a pretty intriguing look at what's to come here.

A brief synopsis for the highly anticipated movie was also revealed last year, and it teases: "Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

The cast of Alien: Covenant also includes Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce, and as you can see below, it will be released on May 19th.

The trailer looked good and good to see films in the vein of the first two, in terms of horror.
Although the shower sex scene does seem out of place.

Are the people at box office mojo eating turkey or something?

The trailer, directing, plot elements and generally everything about it is giving me a major "We are doing Prometheus just slightly differently with the actual Xenomorph" plotline. Nothing has gotten me hooked so far.

@SuperCat - Thank you for that drawing gif. I think it helps explain just how "bad-add" these things are. They will even attack their creator!

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - "... what a letdown."

That was useless information. Would you not be so lazy in expressing yourself?

Try explaining why you allowed this trailer to do this to you. How did it let you down? The reasons for this are far more important as information than your statement.

@D0ntKn0wSh1t - This is supposed to be Ridley Scott's triumphant return to the Alien franchise. The trailer was nothing but a bunch of cliche blood spatters and people screaming. Nothing about it had the gravitas of the original Alien film. It looks generic as shit, and nothing about it says "Ridley Scott". If it had been a trailer for a movie on the Syfy Network, I wouldn't have been surprised.
