Dune will be with us in exactly one month's time (it's already playing in some parts of the world), and Warner Bros. China has now released a new trailer which is made-up almost entirely of previously unseen footage.

Though there's nothing too spoiler-y here, it's certainly a revealing look at the film for anyone who hasn't read the book.

Along with some stunning new shots of Arrakis and the Atreides and Harkonnen armies readying for battle, we see Paul (Timothée Chalamet) experiencing a vison of his own death, someone riding a sandworm through the dessert, Duncan (Jason Momoa) facing down a legion of Sardaukar, and more.

Then, right at the end, we hear Paul using the "Voice" for the first time!

Dune opened in several overseas locations last week, and has been performing very well so far. How much success it'll find when it's released in US theatres and on HBO Max on October 21 remains to be seen, but this is an encouraging start.

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.

I wish there would be more space for incredible blockbusters like this. Smart, deep, slow burning art made for ages. Makes you realize how horrible 99% of modern blockbusters are.

Saw it yesterday here in France, breathtaking doesn't do it justice. Cinematic bliss, genuinely. Character depth is a bit shallow but seems arbitrary when the scale is this grand

@AmazingFILMporg - did the same thing, and can tell that definitely helps if you wanna be blown away by the epicness of the scale

I feel like tons of people want this movie to succeed simply because they feel it should. My friends in France said it was enjoyable and definitely beautiful to see but they felt it lacked real depth, dragged in a few places, and felt a lot of the character growth was simply not there.

Don’t get me wrong I want to see it but I’m tempering my expectations

@TheFireForce - I think I do agree with your friends. Personally I want that second part, because right now my main critique is that this movie doesn't really have an ending that it is working towards. It needs that part two to be a complete story

@bkmeijer - ugh…nothing pisses me off in movies more than forced humor and a film that makes it require a sequel instead setting up for a sequel. I’m really tempering the expectations now…

@TheFireForce - well the movie does kinda prepare you for it by having it say ''Part One'' on the title card, so at WB they too know this is only half of the story.

I don't know if I should blame it on the movie though, since it follows the book really closely too. Although it could've used some changes to make us invested more into the characters' journeys.

I will watch on torrent!

@Gtabreaker - in my opinion that wouldn't do it justice. It's a little lacking in story or character, but the scale is too epic to watch on the small screen

@bkmeijer - I will watch on torrent because I am poor

@Gtabreaker - then I don't have a lot of suggestions that would benefit your watching experience.

Now thats I've seen the movie, I can say this trailer doesn't do the scale justice. The first trailer (and actually the only one I've seen) did a much better job. Also in what it showed from the story
