Carrie Fisher Says She Would Return To STAR WARS

Harrison Ford recently came out and said that he would be open to the idea of returning as Han Solo in the next Star Wars movie Disney is planning for 2015. Well, now Carrie Fisher has said that she would be willing to reprise as well.

There has been rumors upon rumors as to which direction Disney's new take or Star Wars will be. Constant names have been thrown around for the directing gig, as well as, whether or not Episode VII will reunite the cast from the original trilogy. Recently Harrison Ford said he has some interest in reprising his role as Han Solo, but what about his love interest Carrie Fisher as Leia? TMZ caught up with Fisher where she told them, "Yes. Sure. Wouldn't you?" This is hardly a confirmation that she will be in the film, but it does at least open the possibility since she is interested.

Fisher also talked about the deal that Lucas made with Disney for LucasFilm. She believes that Disney low-balled Lucas, claiming that he could have gotten at least 500 Million more. Fisher also said that becoming a Disney princess is fantastic and made her day. For the latest on all things Star Wars as they develop make sure to check back here at CBM.

Awesome. I guess they're going for some motion capture stuff, so they'll look younger. That or a cameo. IDK.

@ nomis & jessepostal

Next time, try some research and post up something that is more recent rather than pulling up pics from a low point in her life.

If reprising the role turns Carrie Fisher into the milf she always should have been, it will be the greatest thing Disney has ever done.

Actually, she's been on Jenny Creig turned herself around. She claimed she did it for her daughter and her self. However, the timing of when she talked to George with Hamill about Ep.7 kinda makes me suspisious. Time will tell.

Like kid actors growing out of their "cute" phase, adult actors growing older have an uphill battle.

Harrison Ford has managed to stay in pretty good shape, where we still can see a bit of his younger self. Fisher and Hamill, however, having been away from the cameras for decades, and haven't maintained the look we most remember them for.

I think that getting to see the relationship between Han and Leia after all these years in a funny and heartwarming way will be all that we need to get past how they've changed physically.

@Waylon it's planned for 2015, not 2012. Just a heads up about the teaser for the article.

I don't think there is gonna be a relationship with Han and leia. Pretty sure Han left after the first freshman fifty and hasn't looked back :)

Fisher definitely looks a lot better now then she did in that "neck belt" picture. And even if she did still look like that, I'd hope that would not deter her from reprising the role. People get old, folks, even in a galaxy far, far, away.

My only concern about the possibility of bringing the trio back is that their roles won't be written big enough in the new movies, and they'll just pass on the roles. This happened with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE (the original TV actors balked at getting killed in the first 10 minutes) and INDY IV (Connery felt his role was insignificant).

It's a Catch-22 for the writers: if they write Han, Luke and Leia's roles too big *or* too small and any of them decline to participate, they're screwed.

I met her last year at Dragon*Con and had all of my childhood fantasies crushed. I honestly wished I had not met her. She was a train wreck. She kept asking us if we wanted her to anoint us with glitter and she would shout, "WELL GOD D@*%!" after every sentence. She was smoking an electronic cigarette and told my 14 year old son she couldn't wait until they started making electronic opiates. I don't see how she can seriously be Leia again.

Love that picture, batz11. The 2005 image. Gives me hope that not only could it be pulled off with the original cast, but it can be done so with an "aged gracefully" cast. She did fall apart a bit but as recently as 2007 she was looking good.

She looks okay now. If she got in better shape and gussied herself up a bit, she'd be alright. Mark Hamil too.

The story goes like this, Luke who is a Jedi Master who is getting old and wants to pass on what he has learned to Leia and Han Solo's children, Leia is unsure, and Luke trains them without permission. His neice becomes really good at using the force, but his nephew has a really hard time and eventually goes toward the dark side. Luke comes clean that he trained them, Leia is upset at Luke. Han and Luke go after him in the now broke down and piece of junk Falcon. Luke makes a comment about the ship. While Han and Luke go after him, his sister sees him while using the force and makes her way to where he is, but being new to the force, like Luke was, she is not ready for what lies ahead for her, nor is her brother. Luke and Han find them both, but one is captured. Luke gives his life for his neice and guides her using the force as Ben did, to save her brother from the evil villian who has corrupted him now. She tells her dad Han, that she knows where her brother is. Han, Chewie, the droids and Han's daughter take off into hyperspeed, the end.

WOOOOORD!!!!!

I'd tap that right now, as is. And don't lie, most of you would, too.

Regardless, we all know Harrison, Mark, and Carrie would come back and do it again. It's not like they're ABBA and broke up or something. They simply stopped being the stars of that series of movies. You KNOW they'd all do it. And it would be EPIC.
