Nicholas Cage Praises Hayden Christiansen's Acting In The STAR WARS Prequels

It seems not everyone hated Christiansen's performances in George Lucas' Star Wars prequels, as the actor's Outcast co-star, Nicholas Cage, was full of praise for his work in the much-maligned trilogy during a video interview with IGN. Check it out...

A terrible script and woeful direction meant that none of the cast of the Star Wars prequels came out looking very good, but Hayden Christiansen (Anakin Skywalker) is usually singled out as being particularly bad. Is that fair? Well, he was lumbered with some of the more eye-rolling dialogue (that course sand scene anybody?) to be fair, but yes, I would have to say he was probably one of the worst things about those movies... no offence there Hayden! But hey, what does that matter when you have Nicholas Cage fighting your corner? While promoting their new movie Outcast, the Ghost Rider actor said some very nice things about his co-star's "edgy, dangerous, dark and still soulful performance" during an interview with IGN.

What do you think? Is Cage on to something? Have we been misjudging Christiansen's acting all these years? Sound off in the usual place.

Episode III was a major improvement acting wise for Hayden (and the prequels in general) but even his bad performance in Episode II I wouldn't fully blame him for. Like everything you can find bad about the prequels it all rests with George Lucas' incompetence.

That's because Nick Cage is just as bad an actor. [frick] that guy

Hayden was in my opinion the best actor in Takers. It showed he can act. As for Nicholas Cage he still is a good actor, when he takes good jobs. He was really great in the movie Joe.

I could live with his bad acting in the prequels, it was when he was digitally added as a ghost to return of the Jedi that I threw a BF!!

High praise from Cage, one of the most horrible actors I've ever seen. City of Angels is a perfect example of how bad he really is...

Christiansen was actually pretty amazing in Shattered Glass. I haven't seen a lot else that he has been in where he has grabbed my attention, but that movie showed that he at least has the skills.

Nic Cage still makes good movies. He's awesome in Joe. The guy actually takes risks unlike most so-called actors. Granted, he has made some stinkers but all actors have. Cage is the man. Christiansen, not so much.

I have to praise Nic Cage's acting when he praised Hayden Christiansen's acting in the Star Wars prequels.

Hayden Christiansen can be a good actor. IT just depends on the material, Like one of my favorite movies.

The fight scenes were like choreographed dancing, and the acting was atrocious at parts. I think a lot of the shitty dialogue fell on George Lucas, but Hayden had some pretty [frick]ing cheesy moments as well. Almost un-watchable imo

I was gonna say thats like Saddam Hussein saying "Hitler wasnt such a bad guy" but MonsrerSquad summed it up perfectly in that absolutely hilarious comment

Hayden is atrocious in everything ive seen him in, I continue to laugh at people defending him...what, is he your friend or something?

and Nicholas was great in his 20th century movies but hes a joke today
