Star Wars: Battlefront has proved to be divisive video game. There are those like me who love it for the exhilirating thrills it provides, amazing graphics and a fun gameplay to boot. Then there are those like me who get pissed off when bugs like this show up:

Yet at level 39 I am addicted to the game. I got addicted to collecting trophies! I beat Hero Hunt for that stupid trophy! Regardless, I am excited for DICE's announcement. I'm sure it will be free DLC giving alternative Luke and Han skins, but I'm also sure that actual DLC is not too far away! That being said, DICE has revealed that by the time the Season Pass is up we will have four new heroes or villains added to the game. That is a huge hint, because, given that the game will only include content from the Original Trilogy Era we can narrow it down. Now, I am doubting that DICE is going to use characters from Star Wars: Rebels or the Marvel comic series, so we will stick the movies for now. Considering that, there will likely be no more villains added into the game.

Unless you fancy yourself playing as Jabba the Hutt or one of the bounty hunters who was not Boba Fett, well, consider that the Original Trilogy really only had one villain. Darth Vader. Boba Fett got offed like a bitch and the Emperor was a glorified plot device (which worked so well). I'm sure they will add new Imperial weapons and skins or maybe even officer uniforms, but they exhaused the amount of villains they had. So who will the heroes be? Well, when you think about it there really are only four options.

4. Lando Calrissian

Ah, good old District Attorney Lando Calrissian! I've got honestly no doubt that Lando will be featured in one of the DLCs as a hero, likely the one that adds in Bespin maps. Lando works extremely well in this regard, but then you have to consider that he would probably play like Han. So while I am sure that he will be a feature, I am also sure that he will have a form of gameplay different than Han Solo or Princess Leia. While Han is very offensive, Leia is defensive. So should we put Lando in the middle? I say we push him to the right and make him extremely stealthy, difficult to detect but deadly.

3. Chewbacca

Chewbacca! Which DLC maps would feature Chewbacca? Maybe some new ones on Endor or Tatooine one would assume. A Mos Eisely map would be great. Now, while I've suggested Lando as being stealthy, I say the opposite for Chewbacca. Full on power. Maybe not too accurate, but deadly. Insane melee attacks and a bowcaster more powerful than the one in the game and with more shots before recharge. Chewbacca would be great in this game, the question is in which DLC does he even fit?

2. Ben Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi, a dry old pathological liar who pretty much just spills the beans on Luke just cause. Oh then he disappears when he's sliced by Vader on the Death Star. Well, wouldn't you know. The Death Star. Well I guess we know which map pack this guy is coming with. How would he play though? Luke is very fast, has quick force attacks and wins due to strikes in succession. Vader is slower, has slower but more powerful attacks. Obi-Wan has arthiritis, so how to make his gameplay memorable when the two saber users have already covered it mostly. Well easy I say, give Obi-Wan force powers related to his Dragon scream which can immobilize stormtroopers, different lightsaber attacks and wouldn't it be cool if they added persuasion in their somehow?

1. Master Yoda

Come to Dagobah, map pack you will receive. Yup. It really isn't hard to predict the kind of gameplay we'll get out of a senile Yoda as opposed to his younger self who clearly was not yet suffering from dementia. Since Palpatine did not use a lightsaber in the Original Trilogy, bet that Yoda will not either. Instead, expect that he will be using insane force powers. By that I mean, throwing stormtroopers around, pulling Tie Fighters and Boba Fett from the sky and if up against Palpatine - counteracting Force Lightning. I expect that he'll be a match for every character, except Vader who always seems to be OP.

Well, those are my predictions for our future heroes in Star Wars: Battlefront, think we'll get any different?

Has it been revealed that the 4 characters are definitley going to be from the original trilogy? Id love 4 characters from TFA to mix it up a bit. Maybe Kylo Ren and Cpt Phasma as villains and Rey & Finn as Heroes.

[frick] Obi Wan, Lando, Chewie, and Yoda I don't want any of those of sorry excuses for heroes. The and only we need is one who's loyalty knows no bounds. One who looks upon defectors with hatred that not even the bowels of hell could match. The true hero we need is Tr-8r.

I've been playing a lot of Battlefront II recently. I bought it on sale when the Steam Store had its annual winter sale almost out of protest of this new Battlefront being a piece of shit, but I remembered just how much I loved the originals. They're sooooooo good. It's like everything EA wanted to do but better... and it was ten years older.

What EA's Battlefront needs is more maps from different eras, and different characters for each one. For example, some prequel maps, and you get to be the Republic (Clone Troopers) or CIS (droids) instead of the Rebels and the Empire, and you get to use prequel-era characters like Anakin Skywalker. If that's what they do, I'd love to see these maps with these characters for each map:

- Mustafar (Republic: Obi-Wan, CIS: Anakin)

- Kashyyyk (Republic: Chewbacca, CIS: Jango Fett)

- Naboo (Republic: Padme, CIS: Palpatine)

These characters would parallel the six we already have. Obi-Wan/Luke, Anakin/Vader, Chewbacca/Han Solo, Jango Fett/Boba Fett, Padme/Leia, Palpatine/(Emperor) Palpatine.

They should even do some more Force Awakens stuff. A map on Starkiller Base would be cool, where you can explore inside AND go outside into the snowy forests. You'd have Rey for the Resistance and Kylo Ren for the First Order.
