There have been plenty of rumours going around pertaining the latest Star Wars film that is currently in developement. From Tom Cruise making a cameo appearance to production being brought to a stop because of Harrison Ford's injury, and even to rewrite the script to remove Harrison Ford from the film. Now remember, those are all just rumors. The injury sustained by Ford has been estimated to take up to 6 months to heal. What could be a possibility is to shift the order of shooting and have the Han Solo scenes be filmed last.

The latest rumor involves actor Oscar Isaac's role which has been kept secret for a good while, but there has been talk that he will play a character related to Han Solo. who has "an especially large role".  Whether it is as a distant relative or maybe even his son it has not yet been officially revealed.

Now there is a rumor from the New York Post that claims a source familiar with the project has stated that with Harrison Ford's injury the plans are to expand Isaac's role as a Plan B.

"They are now beefing up Oscar's role to be bigger with Harrison injured," said a source familiar with the project that's currently shooting at London's Pinewood Studios.

Would you be excited if Isaac's role in fact was Han Solo's son, and would you like to have his history explored more in this film? What would be good ideas on how to go about that and would the adventures be as epic as Han Solo's?

Harrison Ford may not have the star power he once had but as Han Solo..he does! It would be foolish to cut his role down.
I realize this movie has a schedule but you only get one shot at this Disney, mess up the 1st one & future films are in danger.

I wont complain :p The guys an amazing actor! THough I hope if its true, the changes prove to be better then the original "plot plan" with Harrison. As for the rumor of them removing Ford from the film, Highly Unlikley! He is the biggest star to come from Star Wars and Disney is going to keep him around

Having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that the 3 Solo children and Ben Skywalker no longer exist. Or Mara Jade for that matter.

You can't cut Ford's role, just wait until he heals so the fans can have what they want.

Mara Jade being no one now is BS. It is just to sad to lose that character.

I hope that if so, quality isn't sacrificed. I don't want the return to Star Wars rushed because of some injury.
