Disney and Lucasfilm announced that on December 18th, the Star Wars: Force Awakens characters will make their apperance in Disney Infinity 3.0. To coincide with the launch, they masterfully recreated the movie poster with the new and familiar faces from the film. This will be the third play set that has been launched for Disney Infinity 3.0. Disney and Lucas films also announced that this will be the only game where players can experience the characters and stories from the Star Wars The Force Awakens film. Disney Infinity offers a great experience for Star Wars fans of all ages. This is the most comprehensive Star Wars experience out there with characters and stories spanning across the entire Star Wars saga (Episodes I-VII), including characters from the popular Star Wars Rebels TV series.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, players will travel to a galaxy far, far away alongside new heroes and old friends in search for a much-needed ally. Playable characters include Finn, a soldier on a path to adventure and danger, and Rey, a true survivor who is resourceful and capable. Both will join Poe Dameron, the trusted pilot of the Resistance who uses his expert flying skills to travel the galaxy, and Kylo Ren, an enforcer for the First Order who terrorizes the galaxy with devious acts.

Will someone explain to me what DISNEY INFINITY is. Every time I see those little figures I'm nearly drawn in to buy them. How does the figures and the video game? work together?????

My 8 year old cousin LOVES this game, I'm getting him some figures for Christmas.

@NeoBaggins

It's a toy to life concept, Buy game + Buy figures you want and play the story through by putting the toys on the toypad, so they come to life in game with some sort of chip / Barcode kinda deal

Maybe try Youtube for a trailer and Gameplay.

@NeoBaggins

It's an Open World Sandbox Game that is put into two main modes: Playsets and Toy Box. Playsets are little story modes for Star Wars, Marvel, Inside Out and whatnot. For example you can only use Star Wars characters in the Star Wars playsets(You can find little crossover coins around the Playsets. If you find a Luke Skywalker Coin in the Prequel playset, you can now have Luke in the prequel set.) Then, there's the Toy Box. Where you can have all of your characters play together no matter what franchise they are in. Like, you can have Anakin, and Spider-Man in the same place. From there, you can build levels, or open worlds to run around in. Personally, I really like the game. It's fun, and a hit when people come over.

I'd play this anyway over that LEGO Dimensions rip-off, seriously if you buy two character packs you can buy the game it's ridiculous. With Disney infinity its four or five character packs until you reach the game price and Disney infinity is actually fun I'm getting it for Xmas.

@Whitefang and @Blast thanks

That actually sounds fun lol They have so many characters. A lil pricey too. I could see my grown ass getting hooked on that.

It's actually a very nicely composed poster. I might like it more than the official one, which I find to be a bit cluttered.

@FrozenJoy, Do you play Disney Infinity? It looks fun to me, but I've never given it a try. I understand that the characters are basically confined to the individual playsets of their franchises aside from the Toy Box mode. I'd be more drawn to it if it had more of a Kingdom Hearts/Smash Bros style mashup aspect of letting various franchises intermingle.

Disney makes billions with this game. They've made more with this than WB did with their movies this year.
