VIDEO GAMES: The Battle Of Jakku Revealed In Trailer For STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT

What led to those Imperial ships being scattered all over Jakku in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? That's what some upcoming free Star Wars: Battlefront DLC is going to reveal, and you can get a first look at that mode after the jump! It looks pretty damn epic, that's for sure...

The Battle of Jakku takes place 29 years before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it features what remains of the Imperials fighting off a determined New Republic who are more confident than ever following their recent victory during the Battle of Endor. "At the edge of the map, the Empire has constructed a make-shift base as well as smaller fortifications strewn across the landscape. Following an emergency landing, the Rebels need to locate the enemy bases to attack and take control of them all," lead level designer Dennis Brannvall explains to IGN.

"Rebels need to locate and capture one of the three control points in Imperial control. The clock is ticking, but if the Rebel team succeeds with a capture additional time will be added and new control points will be available for capture. Moving through these increasingly challenging checkpoints, the ultimate goal is the Empire’s base where the final stand will take place." There will be two maps in The Battle of Jakku DLC, and those who pre-ordered Star Wars: Battlefront will be able to try out the mode on December 1st. What do you think of this new look at the game?

@TheEpicJuicebox It is fun and easy going but I find the lack of content disturbing.. Not nearly enough variation in enviroments and come on, how can you make a MP Star Wars without space battles and no blowing up the Death Star? You have failed me for the last time admirable DICE..

But the graphics on the forrest moon of Endor... holy cow! Hands down one of the best jaw dropping graphics Ive ever seen.

Battlefront is a lot of fun but will disappoint those looking for a campaign or an in depth shooter. This is great to drop in and play a few matches for an hour or two here and there but not one you'll want to spend hours of everyday on like Fallout. It's very accessible for any level player. Just don't expect that it'll revolutionize gaming or blow your face away and you'll probably have fun

The level of fun I have been having playing BattleFront has been surprising. Even if I could try to find things to pick on I can't. The level of depth and detail the maps have is just beyond good. My fav things?
1. The AT-AT walker maps....dude seriously so much fun.
2. The spaceship and battles. Easy to fly, not frustrating at all.
3. The hero's. Vader and Luke are my favorite. I cant compare the feeling I get to play as Vader to any other gaming experience.
