Captain Phasma didn't have a whole lot of screen time in The Force Awakens. Basically, we see her yelling at Finn and eventually getting pushed into a garbage chute. Well that is set to change with the release of The Last Jedi, and Topps Trading Cards picked the stormtrooper officer to be given the spotlight today in their Star Wars daily series.

Fans expressed their disappointment with Phasma's small amount time onscreen in The Force Awakens, especially after she was so hyped up in the previews. Rian Johnson has vowed that this time around in The last Jedi, Captain Phasma will be featured much more prominently than before. And based on the trailers, that indeed looks to be the case.
In the trailer, we see Phasma with a long staff going up against Finn, who is wielding the electric staff that was famously used by the Stomtrooper who yells "Traitor!" before the duel on Takodana.
In an attempt to flesh out her character more and provide her with more of a backstory, Phasma’s origins and rise through the First Order were chronicled in The Phasma novel by Delilah S. Dawson. Phasma also received her own self-titled comic, which details what happened at the end of The Force Awakens. SPOILER ALERT: She makes it out of the garbage chute.
Here’s to Captain Phasma finally having her time to shine in The Last Jedi, which opens in theaters December 15th.
