Terminator Doesn't Disappoint.

Terminator Doesn't Disappoint.

like many of the lack luster franchise revivers we have seen in these past few years, few leave you with a a sense of nostalgia, awesomeness and a feeling like you just wait to see what's next...4th installment of the Terminator Series does. and then some.

when i think of The Terminator i obviously think of the current Governor of California, 2 dead red eyes fixed upon you with the intent to kill, that and the music. beautiful orchestral music with the cold hints of steal and industrial vibe. its great. but when i first saw the New full trailer of Terminator Salvation with NIN in the backround i was beside myself. it set me up with the sense of this is definatly gonna be a different take on the franchise and i wasnt disappointed. not too new that it forsakes the films that came before it. unlike the campy set up scenes in T3 that had Arnie spilling "she will be back". in T4 it is way more subtle. you almost miss it and then go "oooh yeah haha good one". yeah givin that more then half of the film surrounds Marcus, a Terminator Hybrid. Half Man/Half Machine. All the Right elements of Terminator are there, Connor, New Machines, Beautiful Women, Flesh and Steel, and a new Score that its not entirely Terminator it comes around and that pounding sound like a hammer on an anvil that just keeps getting louder and louder is there. its a good first installment of what will undoubably be a badass trilogy. like all first's, it is just setting up the Sequel either for the Winning and killing blow (godfather part 2, the Dark Knight, Spider-man 2.) or it will suffer what is sadly the fate or most hollywood sequels (spiderman3,
xmen3, the starwars prequels,) all in all its not oscar worthy, up tight assholes anyways that need to get over themselves, it is what it was meant to be, a summer blockbuster thrill ride with awesome visuals and sweet action.
i give it 4/5 stars
