Terminator: Sony or Lionsgate...

Terminator: Sony or Lionsgate...

... it turns out neither.

Halcyon Holding Corp. apparently has not sold the Terminator rights to either Sony Pictures or Lionsgate but to Pacificor a Santa Barbara-based hedge fund. It was sold to the tune of $29.5 million.

Interesting to note is that Halcyon previously accused Pacificor of extortion, bribery and also fraud, then demanded an amount of $30M in damages.

Halcyon receives $5 million for every "Terminator" movie made from now on, and retains the revenue streams from the third and fourth "Terminator" movies. An arrangement also was made that the sale now wipes out the debt Halcyon owed to Pacificor and all the other creditors.

Deadline Hollywood has the complete article.

I don't care who has the right, just as long as they'll make a better movie next time.

-ACCESS out. Godspeed and Mabuhay!

I am really hoping that the next one doesn't feature Bale. He is just not Connors. He is an ok actor and all, but he just didn't pull it off. There is a sort of broken but strong humanity that Bale just...lacks. He seems unbreakable/indestructible and that is not Connors. In John's human frailty, rash impetuousness and instincts are the core of what makes all great leaders...well...worth following. Bale is just too "lone wolf" or at least he played Connors as though he were and that is not who he is. The character is a leader and by way of that function he extends his will through others. If you have ever severed in the military you know what I mean. There are commanders...and there are leaders. John Connors is a leader. Bale's Connors is a commander.

ALL I WANT FROM TERMINATOR IS....

For them to do a WHOLE FREAKING MOVIE of what we always see in the first 30 seconds to a minute of Non Stop WAR at Night against the ARMY of T-800's and those Flying Mechines.

I've waited for YEARS to actually see a WHOLE MOVE of THE WAR against the ARMY OF T-800's and those Flying Mechines...

Don't send us back in freaking Modern Time to protect John Conner, Sarah Conner,Tara Conner, or ANY Conners.

I want the Future Bad @%$ John Conner and the Captured T-800 fighting along side of him against the Freaking WAVE of T-800's.

CAN YOU JUST GIVE US THAT????

PLEASE????

Then in the following movie, introduce the T-1000's fighting With the T-800's.

Come on now...

GIVE US WHAT WE WANT...WHAT The Series has TEASED USWith in the Beggining of the First 3 Terminators....

But for THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND DON'T WATER IT DOWN!

MAKE IT Rated R and just ROLL!

A better movie the next time, Access? the best move would be to STOP MAKING TERMINATOR MOVIES!!! The franchise ended in 1991. This kind of shameless money-grubbing franchise milking makes me sad to be a part of the human race.

@Pariah
While I get where your coming from-- it has to be said that Connor was not yet the leader of the resistance in Salvation.

@NubaX
You can't have the T-1000's fighting with the 800's there was only one. Hence Arnold calling it an advanced prototype in T2.

@Pariah...uhm what? Really? Conners had the respect and loyalty of everyone in his unit and sphere of influence. He also convinced all of the resistance to basically commit mutiny and wait for his command during the final assault thereby not destroying Skynet headquarters as opposed to when the submarine soup sandwich superior officers wanted it to be. I think Bale was a way better Conners then that dork from T3.The problem with Salvation as far as how Conner's is portrayed is that it was more about Sam Worthington's character than Bale's so Bale really didn't get a lot of screen time as far as day to day leadership activities. My biggest beef with that movie is the whole open heart surgery at the end, totally lame and ridiculous. Conners should have just gotten a super advanced pacemaker and keep Sam around.

salvation rocks. finally a terminator movie with no time traveling like the previous 3. dont understand why everyone hates it. you would like to see yet another time travel movie to kill/save connor?

I liked the last movie. What I did not understand why you create a character in Marcus/Sam that almost everyone loved, then have him sacrifice himself to Conner/Bale who was not as easy to connect with. I say bring on the kick a$$ future movie that everyone wants and bring back Marcus/Sam by swapping hearts with Connors/Bale at the end of Salvation, then you have Connors and the obligatory 'terminator' who coincidentally everyone has already become connected to.

Sho1138...

There was only the one you saw that was sent to the past (modern time) even if it was a prototype, hence more on the way...

There can be an army of T1000's too.

That isn't like forbidden or something.

Now all they need to do is get a better writer and director. I did love Terminator Salvation, but there were deffinetly plenty of things in it that could have been better. Example: there really wasnt a true army vs. army battle, which is what they need. The next movie needs to have a massive army vs. A massive resistance army, and it Needs more of Sam in it, He pretty much dominated in Salvation.
