The marketing campaign for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a lot different to The Force Awakens, because below you will find the first clip from the highly anticipated release. Clearly believing that they need to reveal as much from the movie as possible to sell audiences on the idea of this spinoff, the studio has shown us a lot so far, and this latest preview contains some very cool moments indeed.

In it, we see Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso displaying some badass moves as she takes down some Stormtroopers and shares a very funny exchange with K-2SO. Also below are a new batch of stills.

The cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story includes Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and a number of others, and it's currently set to be released on December 16th, later this year. Let us know your thoughts on this in the usual place.

Why dont the troopers in the background watching her beat on their team member, try and shoot her? The second she does that move with the baton like weapon, you can see them move out of the shot and then back in, just in time for her to shoot them. And the guy a little ways behind the trooper she takes down, was well within range to fire at her.

I'm guessing we're not seeing the whole clip here so...

I have to be honest, this scene is very familiar to a scene in the FORCE AWAKENS. Y'all know which one I'm talking about.

Cool clip... but once again we have blind Stormtroopers. I mean you'd think thy'd have to pass basic marksmanship to even get through Stormtrooper school?

@auditore - Every one loves the design of the Death Trooper or the shore troopers.

But I just love the design of these Hover tank troopers. Theyll probally just be in this one scene but I think the design of the helmet and armour is beautiful. I hope they appear in other canon material such as comics + Rebels

I liked in the original films there'd be a ploom of smoke whenever a stormtrooper is hit , now it's just whatever

Here she is hitting the first Stormtrooper. There's another one 8 feet back that is firing at the other Rebel. There's a third one 25 feet back:


They cut to the Rebel dude for a second, and then here's the very next shot. The guy 8 feet back opted not to fire and instead teleported to a spot directly behind her where she could hit him. The guy in 25 feet back just fell down for no reason:




So...huh?

They dont show much but what they show is 1 milion times better than A new hope awakens... That movie was just awful
