SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Debuts On Rotten Tomatoes With A Perfect 100% Score

Spider-Man: No Way Home has already beaten Avengers: Endgame in terms of presale tickets, so even in the "pandemic era" we find ourselves in, this movie is going to be a box office hit. Inevitably, some will be waiting on reviews before deciding whether to check the threequel out this side of Christmas, and that's obviously where Rotten Tomatoes comes in.

Love it, hate it, or simply don't care, there's no denying that the review aggregator and those all-important Tomatometer scores remain crucial for blockbusters like this one. Studios use that "Certified Fresh" badge as a key part of marketing a movie, and many box office analysts believe Eternals would have performed better financially had it not slipped into that dreaded "Rotten" status.

Regardless, Spider-Man: No Way Home has got off to a strong start with a perfect 100% score based on 46 reviews. It goes without saying that more verdicts - including our own! - will be counted as the day goes on, and we're expecting a more definitive score to be revealed later in the week.

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a 92% score, Spider-Man: Far From Home landed 90% by the time all was said and done, while Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has a near-perfect 97%.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

OT - Saw Shang Chi and was genuinely surprised how good it was. So yes I believe that will be the highest rated MCU flick of this year.

Don't hurt me.

@OmegaDaGrodd - I've been on the Watts hype train since Cop Car! He gave me my favorite live action Spidey movie in Homecoming, and then FFH which is in my top 3 (until prolly NWH).

This dude is great.

Homecoming was pretty good light entertainment and I appreciated the Gen X nods woth the Ferris Buhler references etc. Keaton was also very good as the Vulture and I would've liked more of him.

FFH was a step down imo, with some disappointing turns and pacing issues. And while I'm looking forward to NWH, I have my reservations while the 3 Peters and the mulitverse storylines, so we'll see.

I'm gonna see this looks like it could be the first good MCU Spider-Man movie, these MCU Spider-Man movies have been garbage Peter Parker is a weak stupid Iron Man Jr wannabe who constantly depends on everyone for help and to tell him everyone, not to mention how childish and overboard these movies go with the comedy. These movies have none of the heart and emotion of the other Spider-Man movies all the supporting characters are annoying I've never wanted any characters to die in a movie as much as I do the ones in these movies.

@John456 - Let'd do one more take. This time be more dramatic.

Aaaaand, action

@Tonic24k - Ok fine these MCU Spider-Man movies are turds that take away everything that makes Spider-Man a cool character.

@John456 - That was pretty good. Not very believable...but good acting.

Btw, the MCU Spider-Man movies outperformed all of Sony's in the box office and reviewed better overall. You may not like them, and that's cool, but you'd be quite incorrect to call them subpar to Sony's run.

@Tonic24k - If it wasn't for these awful Spider-Man movies being connected to the MCU they wouldn't have any legs to stand on. So these movies out grossed the Sony Spider-Man movies and are better reviewed good for them that doesn't make these good movies, there are many awful movies that make huge money at the box office and that get good reviews that are awful. The only people that are highly rating these movies the Disney/MCU shills that are entertained by childish antics and jokes, fat Thors, Drax taking about how big his turds are ect... and obviously people like you are, but hey you find this quality entertainment have fun.

@John456 - Well that's just not true, is it? See Eternals. And also, your personal opinion is not somehow ubiquitous. If the reviews are good and it performs well in the box office...what other metrics are you using to measure a film's quality?

It’s quite predictable what will happen. People will be wanking over this film. Then in six months some YouTuber will say it’s awful and then it’ll become cool to hate it so 70% of people will agree because they think it’s cool to hate it and they’ll use all their little nicknames like Iron Boy Jr. Then they’ll never once accept that they actually used to like. They’ll make out that Disney paid off critics and social media influencers. Rinse and repeat with MCU Spider-Man.

Disney made sure to get the cheques out early this time. They missed payment on Eternals.
