Garfield Shows Off His Spider-Man Muscles!

More information from Details magazine has found its way online, including a picture of Garfield with some pretty impressive muscles!

Further to what I posted earlier, a new image of Andrew Garfield has appeared - and he looks very much in shape!

He also had this to say:

"I want to feel stronger than I've ever felt, and I want to feel more flexible than I've ever felt. I want to feel powerful. You don't want to just be a pack of meat — it has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move."

"I realized immediately how much hard work it was going to be, and how much of a minefield it was going to be in terms of all the s*** that comes with it. Stuff that I would like to not have any part of. I mean visibility and being recognized walking down the street. I'm holding out a naïve and ignorant hope that won't happen."

Am I the only one who thinks that Andy G. will be better than Tubby Maguire?

Optimus, you're not the only one. Toby was a good Spidey, don't get me wrong. AG just has a better look and is a better actor in my opinion. Can't wait to see him in the suit.

KurtWagner@ Agree! Personally i have never liked Maguire that much. I always wanted Jake Gyllenhaal in the role.

Now we just need great villains for the movie! The Lizard is already chosen, but i would like to see Kraven beside him as the more evil baddie who starts to hunt both, Spider-Man and The Lizard! The Jackal, Morbius, Electro, Scorpion, Chameleon, Shocker or Spider Doppleganger would be great too!
And Norman Osborn (in his human alias only) as the evil mastermind behind the villain! That would be cool!

Jeez he has a looooooong neck! Toby Mcguire had a perfect physique for the suit as well as his proportions, this guy seems sorta stretched and the no hiding that hair under a mask without it making his head look bigger! Guess it's all down to the CGi!

some people act like peter parkers meant to be some sort 6 ft 4 juggernaut with some huge muscles, Garfield's looks perfect for the role, yeah it is stretch to believe that he's in high school but that does not mean that he's going to be bad. I have more faith in the cast then the director.

Tobey was the best Spiderman IMO, but I hope Garfield pulls it off and feel that he will.

come on guys who cares about Andrews hair in one of the set photos w/ him and Gwen it shows one of the crew team fixing his hair and from a side it looks like the modern Spider-Man hair like from a 2007 issue.
And maybe like some people say he may have just pulled off his mask right before he was with Gwen and it was messed up(apart of the script maybe?)

why does he remind me of Brandon Routh in that photo?
I think I'm going to save my opinions until AFTER the movie comes out; I have faith that it'll be good, but I wonder how it'll compare to the Raimi series, and how Garfield will compare to Maguire

I hate the idea of this reboot and it won't be nearly as good as the original movie which is one of the greatest CBMs ever.

sorry toby maguire was never a "perfect" spider-man he was good in the first 2 movies, the 3rd maybe not his fault entirely, was the worst version of peter parker I have ever seen. Plus no spidey wise-cracks when he's fighting his wise-cracks are part of his fighting strategy, Spider-man is meant to be away for peter parker to get away his from his problems. The only time we saw him enjoying being Spider-Man was in number 2 when he was delivering pizza's.Thats as close to getting the real spidey on screen we got but theres no denying Spider-Man 2 was a great movie one of the best and this reboot has a lot to live up to but Raimi's trilogy was by no means perfect sorry. So I am more then willing to give this reboot a chance, Of course I could be wrong and this movie could fail but if you care about the character why would want the movie to fail, yes we all want it back at Marvel but I didn't hear much about the rights returning to Marvel when spidey 2 came out

I like how the style of one's hair is what determines whether or not a movie will be good for some people.
