Spider-Man: No Way Home swung into U.S. theaters on Thursday evening, and the movie has been making a sensational impact at the North American box office ever since. On Rotten Tomatoes, the threequel has an amazing 99% Audience Score, but what about its CinemaScore?
As always, this is generated from moviegoers polled as they were leaving the theater, so while t's not something that really has any sort of immediate impact on box office takings, it is a good indication of what non-fans think. A CinemaScore can also often give us an idea of how much word of mouth will impact box office takings (something that's more important than ever in this "pandemic era").
According to Deadline, Spider-Man: No Way Home managed to earn itself an impressive A+.
That's the highest of any live-action Spider-Man movie and puts this Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios collaboration on par with 2018's Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. That's pretty good company for this movie, and seemingly proves that audiences most enjoy seeing the wall-crawler swing into action when there's some Multiversal madness involved.
Here's how No Way Home compares to the rest of Sony's live-action Spider-Man movies:
Spider-Man - A-
Spider-Man 2 - A-
Spider-Man 3 - B+
The Amazing Spider-Man - A-
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - B+
Spider-Man: Homecoming - A
Venom - B+
Spider-Man: Far From Home - A
Venom: Let There Be Carnage - B+
