If you grew up in the '90s, there's a good chance you were a fan of Spider-Man: The Animated series. Running for 5 seasons before finishing up in 1998, the show still holds up and features one of the most comic-accurate depictions of the Webhead and his various foes.
The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home debuted this past Monday, and YouTuber 100BombsStudios has given the footage an animated makeover using shots from the '90s series. Most of the scenes are taken from the season 3 premiere, "Doctor Strange," but other episodes featuring the likes of Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and the Lizard are also utilized to great effect.
We think you'll agree that this is rather brilliantly done, and if nothing else, it might inspire a re-watch of the show. Check out the fan-trailer below, and let us know what you think.
As we previously reported, the actual trailer for No Way Home broke the 24-hour all-time record for most global views with a whopping 355.5 million, obliterating the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame, which drove 289 million views.
If these excitement levels are maintained - and there's no reason to think they won't - Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios are going to have a massive hit on their hands come December.
