Jesus people, you see ONE promotional photo and you automatically assume that they're making "Spider-man Begins"? Calm down, they've just begun shooting. Andrew Garfield is both a great actor and a PERFECT Peter Parker, plus they have a worthy screenwriter behind the project, not just some newbie who'll throw in everything but the kitchen sink just because that's all nerds care about. He has friggen WEBSHOOTERS for crying out loud! "Hollywood" isn't raping your childhoods.

Also, I'd go with "The Amazing Spider-Man" or "Web of Spider-man."

@LEEE777

I don't think the movie is going to be Ultimate because A.) The Lizard was never a big Spidey antagonist in Ultimate, and B.) Gwen Stacy was never a love interest in Ultimate.

From all the details I've heard or seen about this movie so far, it feels like the filmmakers are trying to take it back to the original comics continuity, so I say, call it the name of the original comic. All of us here know, or at least should know, that Spider-Man's first appearance is in a backstory in Amazing Fantasy #15. However, it would just be stupid to title it that considering it would be impossible to sell that title to the non-comic geek fan, so I vote for "The Amazing Spider-Man."

Ror- It's a well known fact that LEEE lives by his own little rule book. It's a dark, sad, twisted tale of anger and hatred for FOX and Smallville.

Andrew Garfield does Spider-Man would be cool name!:D

No seriously!... The Amazing Spider-Man is the way to go!

BTW! IAIN GLEN SHOULD BE NORMAN OSBORN! THAT GUY IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLE! JUST GOOGLE HIM GUYS!... SERIOUSLY!
HE IS SO UNDERRATED ACTOR THAT HE DESERVES THE ROLE!:D

Hope they adapt the clone saga in these new movies! That would be [frick]ing awesome!
Jackie Earle Haley as Miles Warren aka The Jackal in the sequel!
They should make Warren create a clone of Peter Parker. But there is something wrong in this clone and it mutates into this hidious spider creature known in the comics as Doppleganger!:D If thats not cool what is?

OmegaBlack13 - 1/16/2011, 11:40 AM
I like "Ultimate Spider-Man" and "The Spider-Man" best. I think that the adjective titles ("Amazing", "Spectacular", etc) should be saved for when the series come back under the Marvel umbrella, however long that is! In the mean time, I say we call this series "Ultimate".

THE WHIMPY SPIDERMAN would be very fitting.

As most people I can think of has a better body than the actors that played spiderman recently.

Lansdowne5 I just dont think that its a superhero shape man, I really dont.. Someone that's fighting badass people? Doesnt matter to me if he has bat, spider or a moth senses, gotta have the body to perform the actions and fight badass people.

Anyone that went and did some lifting for a few weeks and gained some muscle, after being so skinny, can look like that picture. And I bet it's CGI :)

These characters are SUPER strong and agile. It's nothing to do with being in shape. Parker could have been a fat [frick] and the spider bite would still have made him a badass. Also, read a damn comic! Spidey has never been portrayed as being overly muscular. He's in shape but he's wiry. I actually thing Garfield looks more like comic Spidey than Maguire did.
