Personally, I still have a soft spot for the Amazing franchise, but I understand why people don't like it. Whatever, I still do.

@KWilly - I think the first one is a solid, mediocre movie that came out WAY too soon after the last series. If the Raimi movies didn’t exist, it would have been a lot more popular

The second one, while well acted and shot, is a total mess of a story. While I do have a soft spot for it too, you can’t deny how much of a disaster it was story wise. Remember how OsCorp was spying on Peter (shown in the trailers, never mentioned in the film)? Remember how they cut out all of MJ’s scenes? Remember how the entire thing was set up for a Sinister Six movie?

Sigh. It’s a shame. Honestly, I think Andrew was a great pick for Spidey but he, along with Webb and Raimi, got dicked over by Sony

@KWilly - Eh, I don't care about New Mutants, but if those dumb execs who felt "uneasy" over a Fox Searchlight film damaging their family friendly brand start [frick]ing over Taika's Jojo Rabbit in post, that's gonna be terrible.

@tmp3 - I really doubt Disney would piss off Taika Waititi by editing his film against his will. The article already mentions them giving undesired Fox projects back to their creators to shop elsewhere... if they’re afraid to release it, I suspect that’s what they would do.

This is the type of design that you get when the movie makers have no personal investment in the characters. Totally bland and generic sci-fi design. Green Goblin looks like a leftover from WETA's Lord of the Rings work.
