First Fan Reactions From SUICIDE SQUAD Test Screening Are Here

It looks like we won't have to wait as long as we thought for the first reactions from David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Some fans were able to attend an early test screening last night and have shared their reactions.

Suicide Squad isn't set to hit theaters until August, and the first official screening isn't set to happen until a month later, but it looks like some lucky fans got to see a test screening of David Ayer's Suicide Squad last night at the Century 25 Union City and XD in Union City, California. Like most fans, they've taken to Twitter to share their reactions, and they are positive. It also appears that Lyssa aka @GleekMoonwalker had her reaction tweets favorited by none other than the new head of Warner Bros.' DC Films division Geoff Johns. So it might just be that this test screening did happen.

Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice got similar reactions from fans during its early screenings, and later on it was shown no mercy by the critics, so it might be best to wait for the official reviews. Until then, enjoy these fan reactions below.

@Kr08 -
Those tattoo's really bother me - because given how they are 'aged' and how many there are, and how old the Joker is likely meant to be in this adaptation - i keep thinking that at some point he went to go get tattoo's and had to ask someone to tattoo damaged on his forehead.

That just throws me off his character, as it just makes me think of hilarious circumstances involving his many trips to get tattoo'd, and at that point i cant take the character seriously when he's meant to be a threat or intimidating at all - and he's meant to be, even when cracking jokes.

@Scarilian - Maybe he didn't get that particular tattoo when he was the Joker.

@Scarilian - I can imagine Joker walking in to a tattoo parlor and asking to get these tattooed. Imagine Joker walking into a tattoo parlor in Gotham. Everyone in the whole joint freezes, scared for their life. His entourage enters with him, each armed with various guns and knifes. Joker screams "Who's the best in here!" and laughs. All of the tattoo artists point to one guy, out of fear for their own lives. The Joker sits down, and tells the artist to write Damaged on his forehead, and threatens to kill him and everyone else in this shop if he messes it up.

Of course that act would get old after all of those tats, so I assume he has someone in his posse do it for him, or he does them himself. Maybe he even got them in prison.

@kong - Your scene sounds like something straight out of the Animated Series! :)

I have hope for this movie. David Ayer is leagues beyond Snyder as a director, and the cast are incredible.

Well hey, it might be too soon to call yet, but I'm optimistic!

Trailers look good, I'm excited, there might be hope for the DCEU yet!
