So here we are! Finally, after over a year of waiting, Suicide Squad has hit theaters. I, for one, was very much anticipating this movie, and would probably say it was the one I was looking forward to the most out of 2016. I felt that it was going to be the CBM that finally broke free of the Superhero formula, that has plagued both DC and Marvel films alike. But now Suicide Squad is getting pelted with bad reviews. Some are comparing it to Fantastic Four. But is it really all that bad? Answer: no. Full review below:

So what did you think of Suicide Squad?
Did it live up to your expectations?
Or was it as bad as some critics are saying it is?

The first half of the movie was actually okay. It had potential, though I was already bored of Harley Quinn and felt like I was watching another Will Smith movie. Then the movie changes in the second half and that is where it fails. All attempted charm is dropped. The "bad" guys become good. There's a scene at the end where Harley is happy to see something "good" happen and it totally removed me from the scene. I was bored and lost interest the longer the movie went on.
I've been giving this film 2.5/5 in other places, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike the film. It left a very bad taste. I rank it above Dark Knight Rises (which I hated) and above Bvs and MOS, both of which I also hated. But I rank it equal to Batman Forever. Batman Begins was far superior. Superman 3 was superior, but that movie is my guilty pleasure.
