Hahahaha yeah man, we've had the origins in the reeve stuff...then the dean cain show in the 90's along with the animated series...then we had the origin in the smallville show for the younger folk...now we're having it again. I just really hope it won't take up half of the movie, y'know? ;D

And yeah man, everyone loves the Hoff! hahaha.

I like the idea of Zod descending some stairs as he leaves his ship, that sounds really cool.

Hopefully Zod will come off as more of a...galactic-overlord type figure in this movie.

[frick]ing tired of origin stories. Nothing about this film spells new, fresh, exciting. But whatever, 2013 is long away.

Loving this. But all of you are witness to this: I hear by swear off any and all Man Of Steel spoilers. Not articles, just spoilers. From here on out, I will only look at officially released pictures and news of the movie that AREN'T spoilers. This is my oath, my vow. See you all in the next MOS article that is not a set picture/spoiler of any kind.

Honestly I'm starting to have second thoughts on all of this. Is the reboot going to be a just retelling of the whole Salkind/ Reeve franchise? Superman I and II in just 1 movie but more action pack, better effects and actors? If so WHY WATCH IT AGAIN? For Nostalgic purposes. Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN RETURNS over-did that long ago. Nostalgic reference has been done! Yes maybe we will see more action but we also need to see brand new story. Can't they push the Superman franchise story forward? Producers should realize that back in Superman Returns he had tons of back references to Superman's story and we fans are more anxious to move forward. Now after all the hoopla about this so called reboot we are instead going to see his origin story again? Also, we may not see Luthor but instead they are going to bring back Zod. Are we really trapped in Superman's past?

And oh yeah the crater looks puny enough to be pit toilet. Baby superman did not crashlanded. He just dropped down from the sky like a big nuclear poop.

Has anyone who's been complaining realized why they have to do the origin story again?..It because you cant just make a superman movie out of nowhere having him fight braniac with no sort of build up and following the Richard Donner version can't happen cause not every one seen it, it came out way too long ago, and too many superman movies came out after that so if anyone were to make a superman movie they would have to make there own new line of movie's. This origin is just a new way of opening it up again to many possible future characters. Their doing Zod now, before it was him just saving everyone in the Richard Donner version. there is a different twist to it and it goes straight to the action. If this goes well they will surely make the next one with a character we all know and never seen before.Everyone who's complaining just needs to be patient.

with this man of steel, the bryan singer movie will be better.^_^ look at cavill he doesn't look like superman, the s symbol the scaly costume, the hair. its not cavill who's the problem, the problem is the production. look how many people manipulated the picture of cavill? it will have same fate like the green lantern.

Rather shallow...must have been a low impact crater ;p Personally, I'm waiting for the leaked photos of the Kent's outhouse...or maybe a port-a-potty from the set ;D That'd be something to get excited over. Maybe Snyder will have Zod walk on water like Donner did.

Small crater big crater -- oh how many people don't know a thing about movie magic. And as far as origin complaints -- watch Batman Begins. Remember the guy who directed Batman Begins? Christopher Nolan? Well, guess what -- he is producing and writing this movie. Haven't seen a bad movie with Nolan's name on it yet. IF MOS proves to be anything like the new Batman movies, we are in for an epic one. Hoping for it!

WB knows Green Lantern sucked. They will not make the same mistake again!

origins should be told in the opening credits & maybe the odd flashback scenes through out the movie.as for the crater it'll do.
