So, we've seen the set pics, the stills and the trailers -- have you guys accepted Megan Fox in the role of April O'Neil yet? The actress herself is very aware of the backlash that comes along with making a new version of any beloved property, and while speaking to MTV she says she thinks that fans will ultimately be pleased with the end product.
“Someone’s always going to be upset about something. When you’re [making] a movie like this and making it live-action, there are things where you’ll have to depart from the original material a little bit. People will be disappointed, but I think people will be overwhelmed with how exciting and amazing and how fresh and how true to the original this is — but you can’t please everyone all the time.”
Though she claims that she stayed well away from the internet at the time of her casting and doesn't "know what the reaction was", she does reveal that any interactions she's had with fans on the street have been nothing but positive.
“I’ve never had more people come up to me to tell me they’re excited about a movie than this one,” she said.
“Nothing I’ve been a part of before has had that sort of reaction.”
