More on Thor Working Title, Plus Location Revealed

On Location Vacations has inside info on Marvel's Thor movie adaptation!

I posted Thor & Captain America's working titles before, but it was not published because I didn't have a verifiable source.

Now, I have a new source. According to On Location Vacations:

"They’re at Raleigh Manhattan Beach Studio which is fitting since the working title of the film is now MANHATTAN."

Their source also tells them that their very anonymous tipster exclusively told them rehearsals are well underway this week.

Also--On Location Vaction didn't report this--but The First Avenger: Captain America's working title will be FROSTBITE.

WAIT A MINUTE..so the THOR movie is going to be called

MANHATTAN..instead of ...THOR

and Captain America movie is going to be called FROSTBITE

NO WAY!
DCMarvelFreshman
DCMarvelFreshman - 12/12/2009, 3:56 PM
@peterparker420 NO WAY is right. The "working title" changes the name of the movie while filming it, to keep the film's production under-wraps when they go to public places for filming.

LEEE777 - 12/12/2009, 4:06 PM
PP @ Lol, im sure its still gonna be called THOR!

Hopefully.

@dellamorte1872

his name is Idris Elba not the token black. he proven to be a good actor. plus Heimdall is just a supporting character Thor is still white. you should be more worried if Chris Hemsworth can play Thor.

DDD - 12/12/2009, 8:00 PM
I think what Branagh is trying to do with Idris
is show that there are all races in VALHALLA (HEAVEN),
that's all!
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 12/12/2009, 8:22 PM
@jazzman: I don't get what the big deal about Elba is either. The guy can act. Branagh does quality work though, so I'm not worried too much about Hemsworth.

I completely agree!!!

@access - But Captain America has a subtitle, it's "The First Avenger".
DDD
DDD - 12/13/2009, 5:48 AM
Ironman didn't need a subtitle!
It's more impressive with just the
simple, "IRONMAN"!

The subtitle for Cap America is
inaccurate and I for one don't
like it much! Cap was not the first
Avenger. He didn't show up until
issue #6.

ACCESS@, I like YOUR subtitle
for Cap America:
"CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE SENTINEL OF LIBERTY!"

its nothing wrong with having numbers for comic book movies. it depends on which comic book movie i think. Spider-man, Spider-man 2, and Spider-man 3 works well.

subtitles are good, it depend if that subtitle is actually really good to suit that comic book movie and etc. i personally hated Dragonball Evolution subtitle when i first heard it. i was like "Evolution" WTF anyway the movie was cr*p.

jjmeylar - 12/13/2009, 8:01 AM
@Wadey09 That's messed up. rofl

Also, does anyone know what Iron Man 2's working title was? I forgot.
Stealthduck
Stealthduck - 12/13/2009, 8:38 AM

Good to hear more and fresh news on these films, little things to keep us interested. I am somewhat sceptical with 'working titles', trying to figure them out can seem easy (e.g. 'Frostbite'), and some you hope you're wrong about; e.g. Red Son/Sun for Superman Returns. What a cluster[frick] addition the kid was. I hope he still has asthma.

Wow, deceiving working titles, nice way so no one can steal or snatch a workprint copy of the movie ...... so those pirates can't post it in the internet.
TheColonel
TheColonel - 12/13/2009, 4:04 PM
Just a Thought but do you think the working title might have something to do with Thor being involved in the Manhattan Project? You heard it here first from the Colonel

BigHeadSarge - 12/13/2009, 6:35 PM
I'd say the number is very suitable for Iron Man sequels if you just stick "Mark" in front of it and use a Roman numeral, i.e. Iron Man: Mark II (III, IV, etc).
FrankCastle1
FrankCastle1 - 12/15/2009, 5:28 AM
what a gay name thats is :S "THOR MANHATAN" ......... NEVER NAME IT THAT PLEASE, IF YOU DO I WILL NOT WATCH THE DAMN FILM !!
