Taika Waititi, the director of Thor: Ragnarok recently admitted he pirated footage of other movies to edit together into a sizzle reel to show Marvel Studios his ideas for the movie.  When he first became involved with the project there was no story in place.  Waititi sought out clips from other movies that he felt fit the tone of his vision for the movie and edited them together.

Waititi was quoted as saying "I cut together little clips and shots, I basically illegally torrented and, erm, you know, ripped clips from the Internet."

This admission was volunteered by Waititi and was not the result of a specific question.  After realizing his admission, he joked they should probably cut that part out of the interview.

Thor: Ragnarok is due to be available digitally on February 20th, with the Blu-Ray available March 6th.
