Thanks to Total Film, we have a new look at Thor: Love and Thunder ahead of its release in theaters less than one month from now. The newsstand cover shows the two Thors standing tall, with the Odinson holding Stormbreaker and Jane Foster's Mighty Thor wielding a reformed Mjolnir.

That hammer was shattered in Thor: Ragnarok when Hela returned and made short work of her brother, and it's currently unclear what leads to its shattered remains being pieced back together. Whatever happens, Thor is going to need all the help he can get when he squares off with the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.

The second, subscriber-only cover is truly wallpaper worthy, though.

As you can see, it features a stunning shot of Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman's respective Thunder Gods, and would have made one heck of a teaser poster. Marvel Studios has been on fire with the marketing campaign for Thor: Love and Thunder from the start, and we're guessing Total Film will soon drop some exclusive new stills and story details.

In the meantime, you can find a recently released gallery of Thor: Love and Thunder posters by clicking here. You'll also want to stay tuned to our hub on the movie for all the latest updates as we have them!

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.

The Thor helmet looks good on drawings but in "live action" looks awful, too much cgi shouldve gone with practical and retouch it with cg

My hype for the MCU has gone way down

I guess the one I'm looking forward the most in the next few years

Warewolf by Night and Blade but I feel they won't make the great

It feels like one of those straight to subscription specials that they produce simply to leech off the IP. Thor's story is over, they fricked it up, you cannot come back from him abandoning his people to play around with the guardians allowing them to get massacred for a third time in a row.

I don't feel the hype and I don't see the hype reflected in social circles online or in groups that normally showed an interest in Marvel. I have no doubt this film will perform well financially initially, but I think Doctor Strange 2 damaged a lot of hype people had for the franchise moving forward.

I'm sure the reveal of Sif, Beta Ray Bill and some other character will occur to draw hype given the trailers seem to imply the removal of at least one or two characters - but at the moment I don't see this performing better than Thor: Ragnarok - especially considering better films surround it.

Managing to bring the entire Thor story back to its 'Jane and Thor' core after all the demolition work Ragnarok did is really impressive. This is why I never really sweat it when Marvel takes a certain turn I don't particularly prefer: they always manage to come back around in interesting ways. You could tell with WandaVision that they were very cognizant of what material they had yet to mine with Scarlet Witch, and it's nice to see them continue that trend despite all the ground they've covered.

Thor's helmet still looks a bit weird. Glad he wears it in the movie for one sequence tops

Alternate cover is pretty good. I actually like the helmets look with that one.
