I really want to love this show. I loved the comic and I love the cast, but I think they show is moving way to fast with introducing characters and not giving enough explanation/reason to why there are there and what they are doing. Case in point Odin Quincannon is one of the crazy big standout characters of preacher and his introduction is just him buying a couples house and then tearing it down. Like... WHAT???? They completely wasted his introduction and did nothing to justify him even being in the show at this point. The pacing of the show is WAY off. The showrunners are trusting us to know who these characters are and believe what they are doing, but in just two episodes they haven't given enough evidence or support of who these characters are.

Also, Cassidy's character is a little off too in this episode. He is not the Joker, he isnt just a violent crazy guy who butchers people and then sucks their blood. People who haven't read the comics are confused and are quitting watching because the show is so freaking confusing even for the people who have read them. I was double checking online while watching to make sure I didn't miss an episode because watching feels like I am missing something from last week.

UGH. I love the comic. Love the actors. Hope the show can pull it together. I will watch nonetheless, but if we want a second season, they have to appeal to an audience larger than people who have read the comic and they are not doing that so far.

Based on the comments, this show is absolutely polarizing. Straight up love/hate. Count me in the love column along with Mrs. Greedo - she's never seen a single panel of the comic and she thinks it's awesome so far.

Preacher is my favorite comic ever and, so far, the show is up there with Game of Thrones as one of my favorite shows
