AMC has been on a budget cutting binge the past few days. In order to keep its hands on 'Mad Men' big wigs, AMC has severly reduced the alloted funds for 'Breaking Bad' and fan-boy favorite, 'The Walking Dead'. In terms of the latter, $250,000 per episode has been cut from the budget.

All this has been revealed after the strange departure of 'The Walking Dead' writer and producer Frank Darabont. It seems that he didn't want the network to influence his vision for the project. Adding further insult to injury, Darabont's 'Walking Dead' commanded almost more viewers than 'Mad Men' and 'Breaking Bad' combined.

AMC have been making some increasingly bad decisions of late. They're also alienating the creators of Breaking Bad, to the point that Sony may be shopping it around to other networks.

Looks like the success is going to AMC's heads!

I was worried about this, thank you AMC for destroying a show that could have generated tons of money for you over the next decade.
