Having about 6 episodes for a [frick]ing season... not so much! : (

Like British shows, the shorter run forces you to really cut to the chase and make every episode count. Much less filler that way.

I watched the premier last night, it was fantastic! extremely well done and had some amazing special effects.

I don't remember seeing many of the scenes showed in this clip though. Am i missing something, or has there only been one episode so far?

I just watched the first episode and it really is superb! Brilliantly made and those last few minutes had me on the edge of my seat.

ED: Personally, I despise British TV for being so unambitious when it comes to TV shows. Even 20 minute comedies often only get six episodes over here, whereas you guys (along with 40/50 minute dramas) get anything from 13 to 24 episodes which leaves a lot more room for longer story arcs and character development. Nothing we produce can compete with the amazing stuff the US produces anyway IMO. I can however understand why a show like The Walking Dead is getting such a short run - they must be spending a fortune on it! :)

ED @ Very true... but still, I feel 12 episode runs are short, this is half that....but on a good note, this is destroying the ratings, probably double next season, or even triple???

Well, we can dream lol.

Yeh @ Dubean, One episode so far!

I think JoshW that reality TV, in Britain, has a lot to answer for, in terms of bad tv programs. However even though as you say, we can't compete with the Americans, there have been a couple of good shows that have come out. I for one have started watching the Inbetweeners and I am waiting for Misfits series 2 to start. We aren't producing anything as good as The Wire or The Sopranos but I think we are improving. Thank god, as I am not sure I could handle the X Factor on a Weekly basis.

Also nice video Ed. Andrew Lincoln was great in teachers and is one of our better tv actors. I wish John Simm would go State Side. He could be great in something me thinks.
