THE WALKING DEAD: Check Out A Promo And Sneak Peek For Next Week's Episode - SPOILERS Ahead

We knew it was coming, but The Walking Dead still had fans in floods of tears with its emotional sendoff for one of the last remaining season 1 characters. Check out the promo for next week's episode...

Tonight's midseason premiere of The Walking Dead was certainly an emotional one - even though we all knew that Carl was checking out since the ending of the midseason finale. The lad spent the episode saying farewell to his friends and family, before ending his own life.

There's been a lot of backlash over the show's decision to kill off a character that's still such a huge part of the comic series, but whether you're on board with it or not, there's no denying that this was a powerful sendoff.

Next week, it looks like Rick and Negan will be getting back to their favorite pastimes: Trying to kill the hell out of each other. But before they can attempt that, Simon will be tasked with sending a message to the "Garbage People" for betraying The Saviors.

Check out a promo and sneak peek for "The Lost and The Plunderes" below, and let us know what you thought of tonight's installment.

I haven't watched the show since season 5, but I felt that I needed to see Carl's last episode. Very emotional. There's no redemption for Scott Gimple's stain on this series.

So every character who has ever been bitten becomes a zombie almost immediately but Carl gets a whole day, makes sense. I really hope now the Gimple is out season 9 can get back to the basics. Also they killed Gavin, who was one of the only relatable and almost likable saviors.

Just as I predicted, we never saw Carl die, and we never saw him buried. It looked pretty dire for him. He was clearly infected from a bite. Even if it wasn't a real walker, he would still need some antihistamines to survive... Oh, wait.

He's dead. You lose.

Have fun being the Unconvinced Conspiracy Theorist Who Knows Better Then The Rest Of Us.

He's still dead. You still lose.

Now that he's dead, this show needs to speed it the fruck up. Too many "nothing happens" episodes. Get some action going to finish the season, and get to Maria Bello and the Whisperers for next season already.

He was boring and lifeless when I use to watch TWD. So in a way....to me......he was dead the whole time.

I wasn't a big fan of his, but killing him off wasn't a smart move at all and the show is going to a ratings hit because of how dumb it was.

Ok, I do agree that the show's had MANY weak episodes, and more in the last seasons... now, for those who are asking for "big changes/shifting", what exactly do you mean by that? or what do you expect? Aliens showing up... it's a ZOMBIE show.... I, for example would like to have all those "garbage people" dissappear, such a HORRIBLE "tribe", and that chick leader... oh man, what were they thinking when they created such character????...

So tired of that "I should kill my enemies, I shouldn´t kill my enemies"... it´s this f*cking dilemma everytime... on and off, on and off.
