THE WALKING DEAD: Check Out The First Teaser For A New Spinoff Series Coming In 2020

AMC has released the first teaser promo for a new The Walking Dead spinoff which promises to introduce viewers to "new characters, new zombies" and a "new world."

There's no actual footage, but we do meet several of the main cast members and get a glimpse of some very interesting concept art, which seemingly confirms that the series will introduce sci-fi elements to the franchise. Specific plot details remains under wraps, but we do know that it'll focus on the first generation to grow up in the midst of the zombie apocalypse.

The still untitled show will star Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Aliyah Royale and Annet Mahendru. We found out at SDCC last week that Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will helm the pilot.

Check out the teaser below and let us know what you make of it.

Remember when AMC released Breaking Bad and Mad Men? Now they're just the Walking Dead channel.

I can't believe they're doing this on top of those theatrical 'Rick Grimes' movies.

Hey AMC, oversaturation. Learn it.

@L0RDbuckethead - but wait, it gets even better... Scott Gimple is the showrunner. You know, that same Scott Gimple who ruined the main series.

Don't know about you but I can't wait to see all the suck.

@IronGenesis - I'm sure WB execs would hate that if he tried to shoot in B&W, but Greig Fraser's an amazing DoP so no doubt it'll look great - if he's good enough for Dune then it'll probably look incredible.
Really hope Pattinson becoming Batman gets more people to check out his incredible indie work between this, Good Time and High Life.

@tmp3 - with Batman and Nolan’s film...the earlier work of Pattinson is about to be “re-discovered”.

I just recently found his James Dean movie on YouTube so I’ve been watching that in spots

What is going on with this show/ these shows?? Aren't the ratings pummeling on TWD? So their answer is to pump out way more content? Yah that works (said no one ever).

It’ll end up being 3 separate Walking Dead shows, along with at least 3 Walking Dead movies.

And they’ll have all of 3 viewers watching.. cuz that all went down the toilet when they killed Carl..

Could have been an opportunity to have a Walking Dead show that follows the military and scientists who are trying to be proactive about the situation. I'm not saying they have to find out what's causing it but just following them and see them working towards it. We really don't need another show about survivors.

I love how all the people who didn't watch this past season claim "the show has gone down hill"

Actually .. TWD had a pretty fantastic bounceback season. This was probably the best season since season 1 which is remarkable considering the removal of Rick and Carl.

It was like a Western Horror movie type feel. The story was better. Writing was better. Direction was better. Acting was better.

It might not have experienced a ratings surge but it bounced back. Critics loved it and so did the majority of fans (more than 3 despite what you'll read above)

So if you hate the show, and didn't watch last year .. maybe stop reading articles and stop commenting. Those of us who are still watching would like to enjoy it. I mean .. comment if you wish .. it's your personal right .. it just seems like such a waste of time and energy to read and comment about a show you don't even watch 🤷‍♂️

I apologize for my rational, respectful and logical response 🤪

Didnt know this show and fear the walking dead was still going on, let alone making new movies and a new spinoff. I stopped watching twd arouund season 5 i think cause i lost interest, and ftwd was so bad in its first few eps i stopped it right there.
Are there remaining seasons of twd any good?

People need to quit bitching, it’s only their third show. How many did marvel create or is creating. Yeah their characters are way better but still plus Dc shows it’s hard to keep up. TWD Only has 2 ,easy to catch up. People will then say u don’t need to watch them and I’ll say what if I stopped after season 1 of both legends, agents of shield and Supergirl. I would have missed their transformation into good to great shows.
